i smashed a guys cell phone at the theatre before. shutter island, guy right in front of me was talking loud and obnoxiously on his phone, people were telling him to be quiet. i leaned forward and took it out of his hands and smashed it on the ground as hard as i could. i got an applause. i was so pumped and ready for a fight or something, the guy just went to get the manager, when the manager asked me to leave theatre, the crowd started booing the manager out of the theatre. it was one of the greatest moments of my life (right next to when i went see tenacious d and i swear kyle gass pointed right at me). my freinds and i decided to leave early in case the cops showed up.

But but but we've been shown in commercials that's what you're supposed to do, hold up your cell phone instead of a lighter. I guess people only use lighters for cigarettes now days.

the irony is that someone took a pic of that sign with their cell phone.

Years ago, you weren't even allowed to bring any recording devices into any concert.

I think that's dumb to say.

Here in NYC. "Real" photographers are jerks with long lenes and bright as$ flashes. If I want to take a photo as a personal keepsake screws you and the band.

My friend was sad she couldn't make it and asked me for a photo. Why should I hurt her feelings by saying no? Because the fragile ego of a band is hurt by having one of a few hundred people not stare at them.

Also regarding Pro Photographers. I had one at a GHOST show, worth it to check them out, actually grab my arm and lower it since my devil horns were blocking his shot. I turn to him and said dont drating touch me again.

Don't pull out your phone during a concert. You will be doing yourself a favor. The video you capture and the pictures you take won't do the real experience justice. They're worthless. Plus, there are actual photographers who come to the shows and take GOOD pictures.

Furthermore, you don't need to update twitter or facebook on your feelings as the concert progresses. Nobody else cares as much as you do, so you might as well just stop distracting yourself.

Seriously. Just let go of the internet for a few hours and enjoy one of the most primal sensations humans can feel.

They are telling people not to be effing douchebags.

I can see where some people here have a problem with that.

People are paying them for a service, why do they feel they can essentially tell their clients what they can and can't do?

Not gonna lie, I saw them in concert and the singer and I had a tug of war as she was trying to rip my flip phone from hands for taking A 1-picture and texting to my friend.
