I think Piper missed that connection somewhere along the line. I said "Spoiler Alert" in my post earlier but I was still being subtle about it.

Piper, your idea for DLC will never happen. That would be incest.

Cartunze you see? You too are fall in "love" with her. This is the real innovation, they have diverted the attention from the player to the AI character, and is true she lead you during the game and the interaction with you seem so real that i found myself really worried about her, i got a sense of protection for that girl. This is the real innovation. Usually in the others games you are moved by revenge or cause you have to save your azz,or cause you want torepair some fault done to you. Here you are the saviour of the "princess", you are really ready to sacrifice yourself for her ,is an old story but allways work and is done from another point of view, the point of view of the "princess". Anyway since the final is so open to an infinite possibility of choice SPOILER(the chose of lighthouses) i think that some DLC could give us the possibility to live a romantic story between you and Elizabeth.

I guess I'm way out of the loop on this one. The only game in this genre I've ever played is Mass Effect 3.

After reading the reviews and seeing the trailers and video reviews, I was expecting more. I like video games so I liked this one too but compared to every other role playing game, this one falls short. The side characters in Bioware games are much more interesting, simply because you have choices in how you interact with them. Elizabeth is a rich character, yes, but there are no choices with her. None at all. She is actually the main character and you are her side kick. You follow her in HER story.

You don't even know who she is until after the whole game and you have nothing left except watching the cut scenes. I wanted to have more emotional involvement but the story never allowed for that.

Spoiler follows:

For those of you who have played it, aren't you glad that there was no option for a romantic interest? Don't you think there should have been a line like "You remind me of my dead wife. Actually you kind of look like her too." hahaha

Elizabeth is the ultimate companion in a video game. She helps you out and because she acts so real you develop a real emotional connection with her.

Agreed Piper. About 80% of the way through the game now, and I'm f*cking loving it. I'm a keen gamer, but it's all usually multiplayer first-person-shooters.

I toyed with getting Bioshock, since it's only a single-player 10-hour campaign with limited replay value etc, but by God (or should that be Prophet Comstock?) I'm so glad I did.

Not often you get to see something truly new in videogames. Bioshock Infinite delivers that in droves. And it's all because of the character of Elizabeth. Without her, it would just be another shooter game.

Well worth the wait.

For the terminally bored, here's a more in-depth interview on the game from IGN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=VNrBxNqaA4E&NR=1

Yes,when you play is not like playng with a generic AI, it seems to have a real companion. They have done a really astonishing work with her.
