@PoptartinSD: Nicely done! You're a "keeper" for IAB's community!

Hey! It lowered the post count! I thought deleting posts didn't do that...

Perhaps when a @Mod does it, it doesn't lower the count???

These are the "Mysteries of IAB"...

No worries then @poptartinSD. You get snow today? It was pretty cold here, but sunny.

It's an "IAB Weirdness" if you hit "F5" or refresh? It sometimes "double posts" your last posting. No one knows why. Just delete the offending thing.

Or not, since I'm likely the only one who'll see it, and I don't care... >^.,^<

LOL I saw the original post by HolyGod..... Yes, it's ok that others quoted you because they didn't twist what you were saying due to "severe character limit". Leaving out relevant parts of a quote or rearranging said quote to make it look like the person has said something entirely or slightly different to fit one's own purpose is what you did. This is why I, and apparently several others, zeroed in on you.

I hope I didn't offend you @poptartinSD!
Ack!
I'm "walking on eggshells" these days... and I love my neighbors "two states south" of the border

Cutting up quotes is just part of IAB is what I'm saying.

And YES! People HAVE complained about me! One of the complaints was posted for all to mock & enjoy It was very funny. There may have been others too, idk.

I'm "only feline" after all...

@PoptartinSD: Well, I re-posted the "original offending comment" in it's entirety. Untouched. You noticed that?

One is required to "cut up" quotes because there's a severe character limit! And it gets worse when you quote or link!!

So YES! I took the "relevant bits" to form the quotes. BUT anyone who cares can GO LOOK AT THE POST. Except here, in this one exceptional case.

I don't notice you mentioning how others cut up MY POSTS to quote them. That's OK? Of course it IS! But -you- chose -only ONE- person to complain about doing it... ftr. (For The Record)

Someone "got away" with slanderous trolling (in MY opinion) and came back to gloat about it... that's fine too, eh?

I am usually just a quiet observer on this site, but I have to chime in yet again. @ 5Cats, I am in agreement with HolyGod as far as this thread being amusing- to a point. Your last comment was about lodging complaints, but I wonder how you keep yourself immune. Way back at the beginning of this whole mess I saw how you took comments made by HolyGod and cut and pasted only parts of what he said. The end result being what he actually said was twisted to your liking. It's funny that you defend your actions but twist those of others. Pretty hypocritical I'd say. Yeah, HolyGod, I know I'm at risk myself lol

My "History Of Complaining" at IAB:

2X I've complained about abuse leveled at @CrakrJak (Remember, this is "In My Humple Opinion" eh?)
2X I've complained about what someone SAID about me.
1X I've complained about what someone DID to me.

The results?
Eh, I've decided to be NON-specific.
Lets say (in random order):
1 Time: The offender got himself banhammered for a completely separate incident. No one missed him at all!
1 Time: the situation "resolved itself" (I think based on my complaint, but it's JUST a guess).
1 Time: I was told to "grow a thicker skin" and quit being so goddamn sensitive
1 Time: There was some "speaking to" about things.

And this time.

There you have it folks! The History of 5Cats' Whining at IAB. I hope I didn't forget anything...

5Cats by your logic, then anything said to Crakr would be about his disability.

@SmutleyButt: Aha Grasshopper! Now you see why we "right wing lunatics" get so mad when Obama and the Democrats play "the Race Card"!

No, I don't think so. People have called him LOTS of bad things, and I don't complain. Stupid, inbreed, Christian, right-wing, & etc. None of those things have anything to do with him being able, disabled or otherwise.

In this case, the combination of things @HolyGod said were all SPECIFIC about ONE part of @CrakrJak's life: Being "on disability". Something he has NO CHOICE in the matter over, btw.

I think such slanders, personal attacks and bigotry have no place at IAB, and expressed my opinion to "the higher powers". That's my right, your right, everybody's right!

And whichever @Mod un-banned him? That's their right too!

Yeah... people would be less likely to be annoyed by his complaints then.

@paperduck: So if they ARE annoyed because he's a V-Baller, more so than if he wasn't, doesn't that make his V-Ball status an IMPORTANT part of the scenario?
If he were a Chess Club member complaining about how much money the V-Ball team got, that might even be justified.
BUT -because- he's a V-Baller, it annoys people that he complains (about V-Ball getting -too much- money, I presume. Otherwise it's just normal bellyaching).
Am I understanding this right?

So the "keywords" here: "hand that feeds you", handout, Government, job, lazy, hypocrite? To ME the ONLY thing that connects them is: disability.

Hating, insulting or slandering someone JUST for being disabled = bigotry.

THAT is what I've said from post #1. At least I've tried to.

...and the other fans who are booing these ticket winners should be kicked out of the game for booing them.

Does the fact who they are or the circumstance of how they won the tickets matter? Let's say they're Chinese and won at a Chinese church bingo. Are the fans being anti-chinese anti-christians? No.

Also no one said he doesn't have the right to, it's just annoying. It's like winning free tickets to a Lakers game from the Laker's fan appreciation fund, and then at the game cheering for the opposing team. Yeah, you have the right to do that, but it's a dick move. See?

5Cats but if he weren't a volleyball player, he wouldn't be getting ANYTHING now would he?

Yeah... people would be less likely to be annoyed by his complaints then. The point of that analogy is the other students are not insulting the fact he's a volleyball player. why is this so difficult?

He's gotten to the point of quoting lines from 4 days ago and ignoring the context of current comments all together.

@peakingo: So quoting, verbatim, the offending post is " Like, SO 4 days ago!" is it?

"Ignoring the context"? Huh? What "context" are you talking about?

Crakr
Yes. Come in here and s.hit on the hand that feeds you. You hate the government so much? Stop living off of government handouts and go get a job you lazy hypocrite.

Feel free to explain the context! You must know what it is, eh? This is what I've been saying all along: That there is no "context" which justifies a bigoted, personal attack on IAB's pages.

Note: Excuses and context are different things. "He didn't mean to..." is not context, for example.

@SmutlyButt: I'm glad this discussion has become a polite one, now that a certain party is absent. Coincidence, I'm sure... :sarc:

But @HG wasn't talking about "various people" he SINGLED OUT @CrakrJak BY NAME. He used personal information to attack him based entirely on his disability.
What possible OTHER reason is there for @HG to say those things? What connects the dots?

@paperduck: Nice try, but if he weren't a volleyball player, he wouldn't be getting ANYTHING now would he?
Thus if @CrakrJak WEREN'T disabled, he wouldn't be getting "government handouts" & etc as @HG so RUDELY put it. So there'd be nothing AT ALL to criticize the V-Baller for. He has every right to complain about "the authorities" if he chooses, as does someone on disability!

Rights > Opinions

I think the only way this'll end is if CrakrJak comes in and tells him he's overreacting and he concedes.

He's gotten to the point of quoting lines from 4 days ago and ignoring the context of current comments all together.

He's locked up like the breaks on an old POS Chevy... he's chasing a faint thought of righteousness and is focusing on petty things like wording or semantics and ignoring all points that pretty much prove him wrong.

He is the Michelle Bachmann of IAB.

5cats let's say someone is getting a full ride college scholarship for being a great volleyball player, and this person constantly complains to other students ( who are paying their own tuition or racking up large debt), some who are awesome volleyball players too, how inept the school budgeting is, how they squander money, how the stupid the dean who signs his stipend is, etc. In this situation:

1). Do you see how the other students might get slightly annoyed?

2) Do you see how the part they are annoyed with is not the fact that he's a volleyball player?

5Cats the reason it has no connection to disability is because you could say the same thing to:

This guy

Or this guy

Or even these people

His statement could refer to anyone, regardless of being handicapped or able bodied. Thus making it not about the disability.

It was about being a lazy hypocrite who lived off the government. That fits about a gizzilion people, disabled or not.

Stop living off of government handouts and go get a job you lazy hypocrite.

@davymid: So that line has a "perfectly rational" explanation that has -NO- connection to disability? None. Zero.

Gee, I'd like to hear it!

As I pointed out, and no one has ever refuted (except @HG repeating "no, your [sic] wrong" over and over) that's MY opinion of what it means, and for a brief moment @FancyLad agreed with me too.

To IMPLY that I'm wrong requires a "correct" interpretation. I've yet to hear one. Oh, adding additional information may "explain it" but doesn't make my opinion (based on what was actually written ) "wrong", get that?

5Cats. Brother. When every single other I-A-Ber on the thread suggests that you're being a dick and taking things wrong, then maybe that's something to look at. Literally, every other I-A-Ber, apart from you. Not even Crakrjak himself (who you were crusading for) supported you in this thread.

Dude, when the rest of the world is telling you you're wrong, and you're the only one arguing that you're right, then maybe, just maybe, you're wrong.

Think about that.
