I haven't seen Waterworld but if the whole world is covered in water, how did they grow the tobacco to smoke all those cigarettes?

#2: I'm not so hung up on her not remembering him. It's hard to remember people you met for 1 week, like 20 years ago.

But what bothers me are the inconsistent time travel rules, especially in parts 2 and 3.

Problem #1: It's established that only those who made time-travel-related changes seem to remember the changes, but in part 2, Biff changes the timeline, yet Marty and Doc can remember the old timeline when they go back and see all of the nonsense that he caused in the "present". And also, nothing seemed to change in the "future" due to Biff's time-jumping escapades.

Problem #2: In part 3, same issue, but with Clayton Ravine. The article about Doc's death indicates that he was mourned by his "beloved Clara". So presumably, even without Marty being there, he must have saved her from falling down the ravine. So why does Marty still remember it being called "Clayton Ravine"?

"#1: Terminator. Reese was sent back in time to save Sarah. He was sent by John Connor. BUT, he is actually John Connor's father. So how was John born if ... well you get the idea."

Well that can get deeper into quantum theory and the idea that time is not linear but all events that have ever or will ever happened are happening simultaneously and our energy simply moves through states of event matter.

I have wondered the same thing about "Jurassic Park" and "Back to the Future".

Right, so the fact that the whole world is covered in water is not enough of a plot hole for Waterworld?

I can answer #7

The announcer, in the background, announces that the final match will be 'Full Contact', meaning hits to the face do count.

#10 Really annoyed me as well, if they could've manipulated time, even if it's theoretical limit was only 24hrs. they could've saved a lot of people from dying and thwarted several plots against them. Even if the other timeturners were destroyed, Hermione should've still had hers.

you know what movie has a lot of plot holes? any movie you watch under a magnifying glass trying to find some plot holes. no movie is perfect, you look hard enough, you can always find some stupid little thing everybody overlooked at some point and time in the production of the movie.

Wasn't Aladdin's second wish a sort of a favor from genie to not drown to death? Also, Jasmine only resisted until he took her on that oh-so-pimpin carpet ride. Beyond that it was Jafar's meddling that threw everything else out of wack. Let me know if I'm remembering all of that that incorrectly.

with back to the future, i can understand Lorraine just thinking it a happy coincidence and passing it off to a trick of memory, for example, when you meet some one who reminds you off someone you knew a long time ago your memory will begin to merge the 2 faces together.
what i think would be a greater plot hole is how George thinks when his wife gives birth to a boy who looks just like her high school crush.

the time turner doesn't CHANGE events, pay more attention to the movies you're trying to criticize:
I knew I could do it this time, because, well, I've already done it before

and what Gerry said.

as for Aladdin, the genie could only make him LOOK like a prince, he didn't create a country, with people in it, in order to make him royalty, hence why he still had the issue of "she can only marry royalty."

I have always been irritated when people talk about this one.

If I sat down with a sketch artist I couldn't accurately describe the girl I lost my virginity to 15 years ago, let alone 30. If my daughter, who I see every day gradually changed bit by bit and ended up looking EXACTLY like her it would never even occur to me that they looked alike.

@degravenous I have been out of high school for about 15 years and I can remember what every girl I dated back then looks like. I'm sure she would remember what Marty looked like.

#10 - The Harry Potter problem. It was covered in the book but not explained in the move.
In the Order of The Phoenix, while being chased by Deatheaters at the Ministry of Magic, the entire stock of Timeturners is destroyed.

Hence, there were no time turners to use when friends were died. Problem solved.

I have a few gripes with this list.

#1: Could be a reflex for toys!
#2: She doesn't have a photo of him, and it's been 30 years!
#3: The cigarettes were premade, I think I recall them handing out cartons. I don't think you can unroll cigarettes.
#8: This... one I've always agreed with.
#11: The 100 foot drop was into the brachiosaurus pen, not the T-rex pen. I'm assuming they were adjacent.
