@Ston
You're missing the whole point. i was being facetious.

18: you missed the part about "knowing your limt"

26: how meny extramarital affairs have you had? if it's 0 you don't know what your taking about.

32: getting paid and making a living are not the same thing. i love computers so i work in IT most the time the rest of the time i'm laid of. this will be my 8th lay off. some are lucky some not.

40: some people need to change everything about themself.

45: (if you enjoy doing it, it's no longer "work",) that has nothing to do with anything.

@dm2754: You're missing the whole point of this.

4: Looking like a hipster is not a purpose.
17: If you don't tell her she's beautiful the way she dresses herself, she's going to keep going back to the beauty mags and their photoshopped images.
18: Says nothing about driving after you finish it. If you're out drinking without a designated driver, you're an idiot.
26: No, the number one reason for extramarital affairs is lack of communication between people.
32: You contradict yourself with your comeback to 45. They got paid for their passion.
40: You should never change yourself to make someone happy, generally because you'll make yourself unhappy in the process.
43: It's actually easy to tell a confident guy from a jerk. The confident guy will take no for an answer. Buy the girl a drink anyways and tell her to enjoy her night - she might come find you later. A jerk will keep bugging her.
45: if you enjoy doing it, it's no longer "work", s

@BlankTom - There's no real answer for that, it all depends on the situation. If you were to come up to me and say "I'm Mr Blah Blah Blah, I'm in a position of power so you have to respect me" I'm going to tell you to go f*ck yourself. When someone demands respect, they aren't going to get it from me.

If someone gives you a firm handshake and looks you straight in the idea they are probably conciously trying to gain your trust. Ask yourself why.

If they use your first name more than twice on first meeting they are trying to manipulate you.

"other the truly remarkable people: Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, Amelia Earhart, Galileo Galilei, Archimedes"

I don't believe Amelia Earhart had a death "bed". It was a death "plane".

Okay, I know I walked into the mens room here, but the subject of respect comes up often. I would suggest there's a difference between common, basic respect for others' rights to dignity and lack of prejudice and discomfort, and the respect for character that a person earns as you come to know them as an individual.

With number #34 I just want to add you need to give respect to get respect, so I do respect everyone till they prove they do not deserve it, then I move on. But as #34 qualifies itself with a persons job, it is really saying respect the guy who does your lawns or works behind the counter.

The ones concerning work, suits & ties have to go. The majority of men I know don't work in an office. I can't do that sh*t, I get stir crazy.

#34 - I agree with Gerry1of1, respect has to be EARNED.

#40 - "Don't change yourself..." Half the sh*t on this list involves changing your appearance or how you go about your daily life. If you like the kind of person you are and take any advice from this list then you're changing to make someone else happy since you're already happy with yourself now.

46. A man shoots his own dog.

#34 - Respect is earned, not a right everyone is entitled to. You should use basic courtesy until they earn your respect...or don't earn it.

Got most of them from my dad, the rest had to figure out like "go with he decision that makes up a good story". Really good advices, specially about the body language as that works both ways: stand tall and confident, you start to feel tall and confident.
