@Turdburglar: LOL. Yes, if this video's correct, I suppose you could say that all lovemaking is actually masturbation. ~Squrlz ponders this~

why does this scene remind me of one of the last episodes of Full Metal Alchemist?

@5Cats: No offense taken at all. Truly, when it comes to philosophy, the ancient Greeks pretty much thought of everything. For the most part, it's all been a matter of rediscovery since.

I do like this story, though, because it tends to trigger insights into a profound truth: We're all in this life together, and what diminishes one diminishes us all. This video certainly doesn't depict my religious beliefs, though, nor does it depict Weir's, who's stated that he's agnostic and views this as "just a story," albeit one with insights.

I'm not trying to "blame you" or suggest you believe this @Squrlz4! Honest!

I'm just pointing out that this idea is not "new" it's been around since the Ancient Greeks, at least.

@Ilikelogic: hee hee hee, know what I'm going to do to you in a few minutes??? MWAA! Hahahaha!

Waiting for the punch line...

Waiting for the point...

Heck, even MY "explanation of the universe" holds more water then THIS crapola...

"Single Electron Theory" Because electrons can move forwards OR backwards in time with equal ease, it is possible (in theory) that ALL electrons is the whole universe are the same one... jumping through time...

Permenides claimed that everything is one. Seemingly "different things" are just an illusion. Change is impossible, there is no "time" & etc.
