fools are only feeding this sick minded kid with satisfaction by telling their sob stories. they tell their stories to get an emotion of remorse out of him, to make him feel bad and he flips the table on them and only makes them feel worse and himself better. it was a dumb move on their part. the kid is going to rot in jail and knows it. not a single drat was given by him. some people just want to watch the world burn and they are telling their stories that only glorifies to what he sees in his mind as feats. as the saying goes, dont feed the trolls.

I saw this story in the local newspaper.(I live an hour drive from Chardon.) The story pissed me off.

To have that much disregard for the families and for human life, that kid makes me sick.

I will never wish harm on someone else, but I can almost bet money that when this kid is in prison, he better be on a psych ward or kept out of general public, or he is probably going to end up at the business end of some guys privates. Or worse.

The kid got 3 life sentances, he isn't going anywhere.

He's just a kid. He should get what Alex from A Clockwork Orange got. Hardcore reprogramming / torcher.

@Musuko42 - At no point did I say that it would make someone feel better. I simply feel that these people should not exist.

He was clearly not so mentally ill that he was "told by God to slay them all" or anything like that.

The fact that I wrote in my reaction that the families should get to piss on his corpse simply implies my opinion of this piece of scum.

People who need treatment need to go to a prison's psych ward. He needs to be put in a cell. There needs to be a cut-off point that says "We can't rehabilitate this person". He clearly has higher reasoning and can acknowledge the pain the families are in because of his actions but because he is so narcissistic he simply gets off on it rather then feeling remorse. Their is no cure for narcissism. He's an ass-hole and I'd be willing to bet he gets out and breaks the law immediately. The odds are in my favor: 60% of released prisoners repeat their crimes or commit other crime

Not at all @sonofd! I for one am glad to know it.

Correct, which is exactly why justice has to remain impartial.

@Musuko42: I give you a hard time, but here? I agree! "Lynch Mob" justice is almost always a bad idea! It was bad with Trayvon Martin's case, and it still would be bad here. This is slightly different, since he's been tried AND convicted, but still: the same Laws have to apply Equally to Everyone! It's the foundation our society is built on.

But when we get older we dont act like that anymore and are more the wiser....

Have you seen USAs adult crime rates?

For everyone hoping he'll feel bad in jail, I'm thinking not. He seems to not care about anything including himself and will adapt to whatever situation he will be in jail.

this is what happens when you put you kid in the corner and give him time out instead of just beating his ass...

I could save the tax payer millions for just under .50 cents if they'd let me. Wouldn't even have an ounce of remorse.

Never heard of this kid or the incident in which he's been convicted. I guess he's just that popular.

Yay Ohio. My son went to that school the year before that. . . Up until then, I would have highly recommended that school. We were going through a tough time and kids went out of their way to be nice to my son. So sad this is how the world now sees Chardon.

You might think that beating and lynching the killer of your loved one would make you feel better (it won't), but it won't serve to make society better, nor help stop it happening again to anyone else.

Nobody's interests are served by not rehabilitating someone where possible. Whether this guy can be rehabilitated is a decision best left to professionals, and isn't something that you nor I (nor the grieving families) can nor should judge.

He is playing bad-ass, when they led him away a journalist for the New York times said "His face crumpled briefly into tears as he was led away, and he appeared to whisper the words "I am so sorry" to two aunts and his grandfather."

He is definitly an odd ball though, Damien Stewart, 16, a sophomore at Lake Academy, said he had an English class with Mr. Lane.

"He was pretty cool," Mr. Stewart said. "Very quiet. Nobody really talked to him. Not because we didn't like him, he just wasn't a talker. He was very sweet, very nice, very friendly."

He's acting all bad as.s now but once he's inside those walls and being passed around like a rag doll he's going to be screaming for his mommy if he doesn't hang himself first.

OldOllie: Don't worry, he'll be tossing the salad of some hard core gangbanger soon enough. That is if they ever let him out of AdSeg. His life of hell is just starting, may it be long and painful.

These are times that I wish the Devil was real and had a c*ck made of broken glass, rusty spikes, and fire ants to rape sociopaths like this piece of sh*t 'til the end of time. I really don't like the death penalty, but I think it should be reversed for people like this where the evidence is unbelievably overwhelming so that we don't waste any time or money caring for his stay in prison.

If I were the parent of one of his victims, I would find out who was the biggest meanest son of a bitch on his cell block and find some way to pay him, or someone he cares about on the outside, to beat that little turd like a circus chimp at least once a month for the rest of his worthless life.

recidivism= is the act of a person repeating an undesirable behavior after they have either experienced negative consequences of that behavior, or have been treated or trained to extinguish that behavior. It is also used to refer to the percentage of former prisoners who are rearrested

I have never been so damned livid over something I am not involved in what so ever. Absolutely livid... Had I been in the court-room I would have absolutely sacrificed a probation and an assault charge to break that kids jaw. What a smug piece of poo...

Had he killed your son, your friend or your family member, those of you saying he could be rehabilitated would be singing a different tune.

My brother-in-laws twin was killed when a man who, as a teenager had multiple assault charges (expunged of course), and had been in jail for assault in his adult life, attacked him for no good reason, causing a brain aneurysm which killed him instantly. He was let out of prison early due to good behavior. The first thing he did when he got out was getting arrested for assault.

We, as a society, need to stop looking at prison as a means of "rehabilitating people" and start looking at it for what it is; a system to keep the scum of the Earth locked away. I personally feel that nothing short of the death penalty is what this scum-bag deserves. The families of the victims should be allowed to watch as the essence of his soul escapes his lips on his last breath and be allowed to piss on his corpse when we're finally rid o

TheGuySmiley - are you serious? We have a recidivism rate of 60+% for convicted felons; does that sound like rehabilitation to you? I know because my idiot brother just got out after his 8th felony conviction. I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before he goes back.

I work in a state prison. Guys like him are pretty common there. He will blend right into the mix. The pain of the parents(adults)is the goal of his actions. You can see that he is getting off on the victim statements. He will likely become a predator in prison.

I say give the guy a chance. It wouldn't surprise me if someone was locked away in solitude, with no communication for 10 years, that they would be willing to talk about things after that. Get the story out, get the admittance of guilt and genuine remorse, and he can be rehabilitated back to society. Granted, it would likely take a 10-20 more years of therapy and meetings before people are sure he's not posing a threat to the public.. but he could live his live out.

We all make bad choices as teen agers and young adults, some worse than others.. But when we get older we dont act like that anymore and are more the wiser.

Sarah It's not whether he cares about his own death or not, it's for any other POS contemplating this kind of utter disregard to victim's families and the court. He knew his sentence was basically maxed out and rubbed it everyone's face. I wish the judge could have said, you just got yourself the death penalty, and they executed him that afternoon. That will send a message.

And honestly, prisons in 2013 are like resorts compared to dungeons of medieval times. Not a good place to be but not exactly rotting away either. Our prisons are too good for this turd bucket. I hope at least the prison guards can make a special rule for him and pass him around inmates night after night that have an affinity to boys. God, this pissed me off.

Killing is too good for him. The thought of the families' suffering just leaves me...at a loss for any further words.
