cops being power abusing bully's. Plain and simple. The kid did nothing wrong. the cops are just mad cuz dude's cooler than them. Cops are pretty much glorified hall monitors. Hell I know some cops that actually WERE hall monitors. Now they have the same "power goes to their head" mentality but they have guns and hand cuff's. Loser cops. |

Like I have said before, certain jobs attract certain personalities.
Being in any branch of law enforcement usually means you're a power-hungry control-freak that gets his or her kicks out of bossing other people around. Same people that always told on you when they were kids no doubt.
Yea this kid was poking the bull by doing this poo, but they sure didn't waste any time to start swinging their dicks around. |

What law did this kid break?
Granted the kid was being obnoxious. But arresting / threatening people is not the answer to every situation. Seems like a person should have people skills in order to be a cop. |

I'm usually on the cops side and not the dumbass who provoked them, cops have rough jobs. But the police can not threaten to kill people by breaking their neck because they didn't like something that didn't put their lives in danger, highly unprofessional. |

Also I'm guessing they arrested him because to allow him to go free while this is being filmed and most likely posted on the internet would encourage others to do the same. I do not agree with the comment the officer made about erasing the tape however it did not get erased and was probably a heat of the moment comment because the kid was acting like a punk. IMHO filming officers and posting it on the internet should be restricted to harassment by police officers, not harassment of police officers. The police are there to do a job, not babysit or be entertainment. |

Most likely Assault on a police officer (APO), possibly harassment of a law officer. It depends on where this is, but there are probably similar laws everywhere.
The D.C. Criminal Code, under §22-405, defines APO as:
Whoever without justifiable and excusable cause, assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with a law enforcement officer on account of, or while that law enforcement officer is engaged in the performance of his or her official duties shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be imprisoned not more than 180 days or fined not more than $1,000, or both.
He is also definitely guilty of not having any common sense and being a dumbass punk. |

Interference with an on-duty police officer's ability to perform his duty. The cop couldn't have jumped up and prevented a crime in the 0.05 seconds that the kid was jumping in front of him. |
