Davy, so nice to have someone "from Old Country" weigh in on our lovely melting pot over here. Glad you approve.

It makes for some interesting genealogical research that's for sure. I can attest that grandma's family was part Irish and part Sicilian, so you can imagine what that household was like, quick tempers and gesticulations everywhere XD

Happy (belated) St. Pats to you too!

It's Paddy's or Patricks day NOT Patty's.

I'm one eighth Irish. (A bit of 'Daly' in there somewhere). Should I just have one pint then go to bed?

All kidding aside (that post was all meant in a bit of fun), I'm delighted that Irish culture is alive and well outside of Ireland. And here in North America people have genuine Irish roots and are proud of that, and I love that. It's one of the reasons we moved here. Feels like home, I love it.

Happy Saint Pat's everyone! Meant sincerely, and with love.

Everyone but you Kitteh, you're still a bastard.

F*ck, I love the I-A-B Community.

Oh sh*t, I made the front page? Again? Thanks Kitteh. You bastard.

Yeah, I'm I-A-B's resident grumpy Irishman. I posted this on Bookface recently:

And Crakrjak (my old friend), quite rightly spanked me for it, saying "Well we're sorry that there are more Irish descendants in America than in Ireland. You see the fun ones, not the grumpy ones, moved here a long time ago. And because they were feeling nostalgic and a bit isolated they decided to celebrate St. Pat's Day. Just like Italians celebrate Columbus Day and Mexicans celebrated Cinco De Mayo and the Germans celebrate Oktoberfest.

So we apologize if we like celebrate our diversity with others, party and tie one on.

Now get over it or I'll borrow my friends authentic McGillicutty family shillelagh and thwap you with it."
