It depends which spider he has mimicked. His 'dick' wouldn't have to fall off... As far as I am aware, Steatoda grossa (the spider that was 'painted' to look cool in the first three Spiderman films does not lose its palps during courtship. Spiders like Pityiohyphantes DO lose them (and quite regularly too). |

@dm2754: In the "Classic Spiderman" yes, but in "modern re-tellings" it's biological.
iirc: Stan Lee originally wanted biological webs, but got talked out of it and they came up with "web shooters" insted.
Something about "teenage boy shooting white goop all over the place" just didn't sit well with them... |
