I don't think most people feel any differently than what you say. The atomic age brought lots of advances, but that doesn't mean people should have supported the nuclear arms race. |

I thought people on this website liked science and technology. You know this was inevitable, right? Just like the Manhattan project, or just cameras in general, etc.
Technology cannot be stopped, just learn to live with it. They're not exactly rounding people up, so it's ok. No sense in being Luddites over every little thing that divorces us from pre-1920's society. |

I have the same opinion of this as I do for London's camera network. Don't do anything you are not supposed to do in public and there's no issue. It's really only a lack of privacy if someone is posting it for public view, like Google maps, or any person with a camera on their cell phone. |

I wouldn't waste the money on a commercial hydroponics system- they're pretty easy to DIY, but ya can't go wrong with a few AgroMax 370's. Heat radiation and power consumption- the two most obvious giveaways. Not that I'd, you know, like, dude, know about stuff, or anything. |

Not so fast, Patchouly. First, anything spotted will be "alleged", a determination by some schmuck in a windowless room that a possible crime is being committed. In a "free" society (what a joke that is) I have the right to privacy and while I may be involved in a private act that I consider to be legal (firing a gun at a can in the backyard) the schmuck in the windowless room may determine (not being able to see the can because it's under a tree) that because there are other people in the immediate area running (we were having a sack race at the same time) that my target practice is actually a hostile assault.
Never, ever assume that government is a benevolent entity.
