1) there was no "war" during the cold war
2) genocide does not count as war, it is genocide.
remove "the cold war" and "the Indian american wars" from this and you get the peace times i have stated above.
sooooo, more like 140 years at war since 1774.
(actually if you include the whole genocide thing we've been at war since 1492!) (should we compare this to spain? or how about norway? sweden? i think the vikings did a whole lot more warring than the u.s.)

@skullgrin There is a bit of inherent confusion in the word "Yank" or yankee. In the U.S. the word yankee is used to refer to those above the Mason-Dixon or sometimes more specifically the New England area. Outside of the U.S. the word refers to people from the U.S. in general. |
