chicagojay - I dunno what the South side of Chicago is like, but 10 years ago I went for a wander around Haarlem about 8pm one Tuesday night. I wanted to go to the Apollo Theatre, but it was shut for renovations. So I went for a wander. I found a starbucks, and popped in for a hot chocolate. Cue raised eyebrows when I walked in and outright concern as soon as I opened my mouth and they realised I was a Brit. Several ppl offered to escort me back to the subway for my own safety, which I thought was seriously OTT, but they were pretty insistent... |

Next, hook up a cam to a white guy and have him walk around the south side of Chicago. Also, a black guy in....? Someplace. I just know the areas I will (and have been) beaten, robbed, harassed etc. So, to the Homophobes, stop! To the racists on the south side of Chicago (and that other place), Stop!
