I'd guess they planned to do more reaction shots from the actresses mentioned, but when they saw the first reaction, they skipped most of the rest, just Theron (who looked none too pleased) and one he said we haven't seen (who smiled). I stopped watching the Oscars when they stopped nominating movies people saw in large numbers.

Even with this song it was the gayest Oscars I've ever seen.

Ben Stiller played with a nice pair of boobies in the movie "Dodgeball".

Obviously the 'powers that be' saw nothing wrong or it would not have been put on the show. These people knew full well what they were getting with Seth as the host.

edana42-"This may have been inappropriate for the Oscars"

Sorry, but 'inappropriate' and 'the Oscars' are pretty much synonymous

I liked it. Usually they take themselves far to seriously. Although Im biased on Hollywood in general.

"...and Julie Andrews in SOB..." which isn't current in the slightest, but was really amazing at the time. The rest really come as no surprise.

@Nova

Lets not take ourselves and being entertained (to death) so seriously. Seth is brilliant

The clips of the actresses being "upset" were pre-recorded reactions likely from other events...not live. Their dresses/hairstyles are completely different from the live event.

I thought it was alright...he was no worse than Ricky Gervais...

Im really disappointed with how the show went. the oscars are supposed to be about honoring the best films of the year in a prestigious way. it’s not supposed to feature songs about actresses’s breasts, a random appearance of some guy in a nazi costume, countless jokes about all things jewish~! and basically a 3-hour publicity stint for seth. -_-

All is forgivable when you're that darn cute!
{in a Peter Brady sort of way.}

And rich. Being rich doesn't hurt his sexappeal.

Money.
Appropriate for the Oscars... the classy event where professionals pay homage to the best in their fields... no.

But will it get ratings and sell advertising space to pay for all those damn statues... YES!

If TV has be be dumbed down for the audience, you've no one but yourself to blame.

i also think seth was handcuffed from doing some funnier stuff...it would have been great if it was a bit more "roast" like

go back to laughing at Seth's poop and vomit jokes...

Inappropriate? His whole monologue was inapropriate.
Like this bit where he talks about "DJANGO" being
nominated for best picture.

I laughed of course, but I'm a tasteless guy.

This may have been inappropriate for the Oscars, but it was funny as hell. And true. I don't know why any of the actresses would be upset.
