i think its despicable that someone is undermining the patriotic endogmation of our elementary school. I will never forget in 3rd grade when i learned that washington could have been a british general, if they had let him. God bless america!!! |

I knew 3 of those, and I'm a Canadian!
@Gerry1: There exists several sets of "wooden George Washington Teeth" because they were made as molds for the more elaborate ones he actually used. You're right, it's easier to sculpt wood than ivory, which is why a mold was made first. That's also why they've survived, they weren't used!
That's what I've read, anyhow. |

He did have wooden dentures.
The teeth part were made of ivory & such
but the gums were whittled from wood to get
a custom fit.
