I assume you have 1 of 2 possible reasons for posting it:
1. You want to run off what few Christians frequent this site.
or
2. You want to start the same old bull poo flame war arguing why I should reject religion.

This post is ridiculous troll bait, and I'm far from a religious person. For all their persecution, torture, and crusading, no religious group can touch the scale of destruction the Nazis achieved. 2.5% of the world's population died in WW2, and that was only in six years of war. |

Listypoos, you can't let your disdain for religion get in the way with reason. Atheists have killed people. Obviously they didn't say they did it in the name of atheism, because that inherently doesn't make sense.
The worst Genocide ever was Mao. That was upwards of 50 million. He said he was willing to sacrifice a few hundred million Chinese in the name of his cute little revolution.
Then Stalin. His deaths range from between 20-60 million, depending on how and what you count. Having done my Master's thesis on this, I would count closer to the high end.
Adolf Hitler was responsible for 6-10 million genocide deaths, plus the deaths associated with a war. Anyone who says Hitler was a model Christian is blinded by ideology. Read the Hitler Table Talks.
And then people talk about how awesome Buddhism is. Well, Tojo was a Buddhist.

Yes please... with times, dates, and written proof from the perpetrator that it was atheist ideology that drove them to it.
There are probably many atheists that have committed genocide Crackr.... but did they set out on their killing proudly claiming "I'm doing this because I don't believe in God."?
Because most if not all of the ones committed by religious people start with the premise of "i'm doing this for God."

Actually, the Swastika was a religious symbol at one point. Hitler saw it in a church and began using it as his symbol but the symbol itself dates back 3000 years or more.

Religion had its uses..system of moral policy and standards due to actual policy enforcing being next to impossible. simply obselete now that technology does most of the work... downside its almost impossible to change things now...lesser of two evils? |
