Furthermore Squrlz4Sale, you insinuate that a person that has published links over another that does not have published links ON IAB IS LESSER?

Who are you? A lord of IAB? Hang your head in shame for that!

Squrlz4Sale: Buddy, you don't get it. I don't think you know what propaganda is. You can go look it up on your spare time. These TED videos have been showing up on IAB for some time and now I am sick to my stomach with them. That is my view, not your's. MY VIEW BUDDY. Can I not have my view here?

Take a closer look, and the insightful mind will realise TED is a big TURD. So much so, that it is propaganda! I don't want that theme repeated here. SHUT IT DOWN I SAY. 'In my view' buddy.

@Piperfawn: TED is a nonprofit organization that originally focused on bringing together experts from Technology, Entertainment, and Design (thus the acronym) to share ideas. The TED talks have become hugely popular because they present intriguing topics in a bite-size format. The short, scripted nature of the talks, and the fact that the subjects are presented in a fashion so that virtually any adult can grasp the concepts, has led some (such as R66tramp) to criticize or scoff at them.

@R66tramp: Virtually any produced series has a format, and formats tend to package the material that's being presented to a lesser or greater extent. As critical thinkers, we should all be aware that the format is shaping the content (or as your own McLuhan put it, the medium is the message). That said, here's my advice: If you have such a problem with TED talks, simply skip over them when you see them on here. It's not that hard really.

Squrlz4Sale, Go blow smoke out yer arse! You did not acknowledge anything I wrote! If this is yer kind of thing to stick your head into, than I see you as a person that likes to stick their head into sand. That is my view and I hold it. I also stand true and defend my right that TED videos are pure rubbish and they are in nature full of propaganda!

@R66tramp: Do you *promise* to walk away if another TED video goes up or was that just some bluster to mix in with your profanity? 'Cuz if you're really promising, I'm sure I can find another.

You haven't contributed a single video to the site, so if you're that unhappy with the content, I say move on and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

If this site; IAB, posts one more TED video, then I walk away. It seems to me you people do not understand the machine behind these productions from TED. Go back to school you morons and realise what is going on in these productions. Am I the only one one on IAB that has a problem with TED? What a joke you pussy brain washed mother FKCUkers are? Get a grip...STAT!

"This kid is awesome, but someone needs to find a cure for that effeminate lisp."

I think it's more of a self conscious nerd thing than an effeminate lisp thing. I bet it isn't as bad when he is in his comfort zone.

I didnt meant it in a derogatory term. I just remember seeing this a while ago. SInce then multiple researchers have already stripped his basis down to the bones.

@Tedgp:

"Old news is old. It's a good idea, but there are some researchers that have already stripped his idea apart."

Old? He won the Intel Science Fair in 2012 and was profiled in Forbes just this week. It may not be an up-to-the-minute live feed here, but hey, cut me some slack.

Also, from a cursory online search, it appears to me that Jack Andraka's research is holding up quite well. It doesn't surprise me that a handful of cancer researchers, when faced with this teen's accomplishment, are offering a dozen reasons why it can't/won't/shouldn't work.
