Friday, February 15, 2013 4:38:32 AM nice, but I felt the tempo was a little slow, so it lacked the punch... |

Friday, February 15, 2013 2:55:09 AM Auburnjunky: A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, scored almost always for orchestra. Orchestra. Symphony. Strings. The London Symphony Orchestra did a good rendition of this a while ago on an album called 'Classic Rock'. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 9:16:20 PM I see strings. This is an orchestra. Symphonies have no strings. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 6:16:07 PM Excellent! I think there are many pop/rock pieces that could stand a symphonic treatment. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 3:49:12 PM I wouldn't say I'm an expert on symphonic music, or any other music, but I do have a discerning ear. Chalk it up to years of choir classes. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 2:56:57 PM The trumpet was awesome! Apparently everyone is an expert on symphonic music. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 2:25:43 PM Some parts were brilliantly done, but there was something funky going on in the horns section, and the trumpet hit a couple of sour notes during his solo. The viola seemed to be having timing issues, which I think lends to your thinking she was almost out of tune, Zed68. Again, parts of this were brilliant, but the inconsistencies kept me from enjoying it fully. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 1:33:26 PM @Squrlz4Sale : I'd prefer a pure orchesta version too, but this one was quite lame to my ears, and the violin part... well... almost out of tune. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 1:18:25 PM Very nice. The timpani could have dug in a little harder though. |

Thursday, February 14, 2013 1:13:00 PM @Zed: While there's no denying the excellence of the LSO, for my tastes the electric guitar, vocals, and drum kit kind of take away from the classical music experience. I actually prefer this arrangement with no rock instruments or vocals. |
