Wednesday, February 13, 2013 3:19:14 PM Awww, Rosy shades make this an idealistic world, always ready to give as much humane treatment of even the lowest of criminals. Does it make you sad that law enforcement deliberately burnt a man alive who has murdered several people. Sleep safe in your bed knowing that out there, at a moments notice, there are people willing to do what it takes to eliminate threats. Next you will be wanting full disclosure before a soldier can toss a grenade. Due process can suck it. |

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 11:02:47 AM No Mr Peabody- but there is a difference between censorship and sensationalism. You can report facts but make them dry and boring. You can even say WHY--- As for the rest- yes, a child died- but only ONE- had they had guns the death toll would have been higher. Is it more humane to have your leg shot off or cut off? I suspect they are both as unpleasant- but the headcount tends to be lower with blades. |

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 9:26:03 AM apparently police not only intentionaly burned the cabin down with him inside but they found a BRAND NEW WALLET with BRAND NEW CONTENT "confirming" that its his body. if they "prove" that Dorner is dead everything will start back up if he scratches another name off of his hit list. the LAPD can either lie and get everyone off guard, including themselves, or they can tell the truth and keep shooting people in southern Cali. or Dorner's new wallet and its new contents can just be made of jesus and it really IS him they murdered. either way. people still suck just as much as they did before this whole thing happened. |

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 9:09:03 AM but by making his so famous and glamorous it just makes things worse- this is exactly what he wants In this case I'm not so sure he was seeking the notoriety, I believe he was doing it out of a twisted sense of justice. Also keeping things out of the media is a double edged sword (and I don't mean the ones they use to hack 16 year olds to death with in London). Look at the conspiracy theories popping up at the mention that media were told to stay away from the area of the cabin. Who is going to decide what gets reported and what does not? The people? The media? The government? Unfortunately there is an ugly side to all the sensationalism, but there is an even uglier side to censorship.

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 8:32:20 AM Nationwide? - possibly not, so keep him off planes, let police know he is wanted, but keep his face from the public- or keep stuff quiet. It is not in the public interest. Not sure how you should work it- but he is a freakin star- he is famous. People think he is a hero. He is a mundane, boring, meltdown- go to any mental hospital and you will find lots of poor souls just as disturbed- and they are very boring too. |

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 8:14:31 AM @Madduck When you're leading a nationwide manhunt, I would think that putting the face all over the media would be a good thing, in this case.. |

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 2:17:18 AM I agree- he certainly is not sane, although I suspect that for legal purposes he will stand, but I just wish that the media would refuse to publish anything more than bare facts- the public do not need to know his name, or have his face put everywhere... how many times have we seen this happen, and how many times before we realise- Do NOT make this behaviour glamorous, if only for the sake of those poor sods who do this on the future... |

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 11:47:50 PM @madduck - The worst part is all the pages popping up with people who are actually on his side. They seem to think that, regardless of whether or not the guy has a case against the LAPD, he's some kind of hero. They all fail to realize that a man who is sane and is truly innocent wouldn't write a "manifesto" threatening to kill the families of the police officers who wronged him. Now there are two innocent people dead, the daughter & fiance of the man who represented him at the hearing where he was fired, and a cop was killed around that same time. Another cop was killed in this last shootout and one was wounded. That doesn't sound like the actions of a hero or a "vigilante" to me, he's just a f*cking murderer. |

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 11:35:04 PM This is basically just a very disturbed man with guns, he is dangerous and obviously delusional, and does not deserve any publicity. Every time you/we make one of these poor souls into a rock star there will be another lining up to do it again. even If, and I stress the If part, he had a point, it is plain that he lost the plot completely. but by making his so famous and glamorous it just makes things worse- this is exactly wwhat he wants- and by giving it to him we can be sure it will keep on happening... It is very sad indeed. |

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 9:42:24 PM Where is the fact checking CNN? Chris Donner to AP: "Hello AP, this is Andy Smith with the LAPD. We are removing Christopher Donner's charred smoking corpse from the burned out cabin." AP: "OK officer Smith, well report that you got him. Please let us know if there are any updates." click Chris Donner: "lololololololol" |

He died? Anyone surprised? It's not like they ever had any intention of taking him alive. |

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 6:50:03 PM the UK and EU do have plenty of gun crime issues. however our media doesn't leap up and down on it as we´d rather push all the "bad things" under the rug and focus on stupidity such as horse meat. |
