I'll forgive them for what they've done, for they've realised it's wrong, it's deeply hurtful. Not only have they realised it, they want to stop doing it any more. Everyone deserves a second chance.

So much hate for these young women. Since they could talk they were brainwashed that they were doing god's work, that they were the only truly good people, that they were the only hope for the world. All day every day from four or five years old. That was the only message they got. They were programmed to chant and told it was god's work.
Inflicting pain in order to bring others to god is commonplace and has been for millenia. They broke their programming and got free. I'd say good for them but Draculya apparently thinks they should burn in hell. |

The Westboro Baptist Church is merely the Phelps family, no one else. And 30% of the family will no longer have anything to do with them; haven't talked in 25 years. And now there's two more. These people are not "men and women of the cloth", they are hateful crazies that have been hurting people "in the name of God" for decades; at 22,000 protests around the world. Two of the clan want forgiveness, after all the poo they've pulled? Yeah, good luck with that. I'm not even convinced this story is true. I'll believe it when I see it. |

We'll see what they do from here, but, to me, you don't get to pretend like what you did "wasn't meant to hurt people." Yes. It was. You don't protest as funerals, chanting that "God hates fags" without wanting to inflict pain. To pretend otherwise is to pretend that you're not human.
I hope they've changed. Really and truly. And I support them if they are trying. But go on ahead and be honest. It is designed to hurt. It is designed to draw attention. And there is no good intention in what they did. |

@markust123 - I've seen it, that's what I thought was so scary about it. Even though I don't think they ever said it or will admit to it, but there's no doubt that they had the WBC in mind while making that movie. |

Frankly, you are a jerk. Even those who don't believe in god should learn how to forgive and forget in order to make this world a better place.
We all make mistakes - some bigger than others, and some because we were raised in a bad environment and we didn't know any better. We can't change the past, but we can work on the future.
