Personally I think the human race is evolving to have children younger and younger.
why don't people pay attention in history classes anymore?
200 years ago, it wasn't uncommon for a woman to be married by 14 and have 4-5 kids by the time she was 25, be a grandma by the age of 30 and die at the ripe old age of 50. |

Why is it the girl's parents' fault? Unless they prostituted her out to the guy or held a gun to his head, it isn't their fault he's a sick freak. Parents can't watch their child(ren) every second. |

No, qualifying 17 as a "child" is a learned cultural oddity. 17 is an age where accountability is understood. This is an age where you are deciding colleges, starting jobs, at one time or another, server and becoming leaders in the military.
This is not a child, this is a man who could not control himself despite his maturity. |

^ This. There are no facts as to how it all happened, yet there's already morons looking to start a lynch mob.
You can't assume this child was horny! I'm sorry but a 17 year old vs. a 8-year-old little girl?? I'm more concerned about why an almost adult male is sexually attracted to 8-year-olds... even if the little girl had hit puberty and enjoyed it, her mental age was taken advantage of. She might not have protested, but she also probably didn't understand what the hell was going on... Yes blame the parents to a certain extent, but sometimes you can completely control what happens to your kids. I would like to know where this took place.. ugh this is just so sad |

It's really dangerous to have a child that young. I remember watching a show about tribal girls repeatedly getting pregnant because they were married off too young and they completely lose control of their bladders and sometimes the rectum because of it. Their bodies are too small to be pregnant. They then become shunned by the other tribe members because they constantly drip urine and smell bad. There's a charity called the Fistula Foundation that fixes these girls. |

it's a mixture of hormones in food making children go through puberty earlier mixed with pedophiles. Great stuff! at least by the time she is old enough to go to university, she almost wont need a babysitter! and she can be a grandmas at 25 or something... |

Women have been developing earlier and earlier.
Puberty hiting kids at a younger ages.
Could be the hormones, could be something else. |

I may be wrong about my geography, but I'm pretty sure Jalisco state is the part of Mexico that the age of consent is puberty. If the girl gave birth, she had to be pubescent and thus its not illegal. The girl also never said it was rape, the officials want it to be.
will she become the new youngest grandma, pic related, grandma = 30, grandpa = 29, mom=15, dad=15.
