I believe this would qualify as a Caltrop.
The caltrop deals 1 point of damage, and the creature's speed is reduced by one-half because its foot is wounded. (according to D&D rules) |

Bah. Legos on a hardwood floor? nothing to worry about. When I was a kid, though .... you can't even SEE the Legos in shag carpeting at times. Those are the ones you need no needle for.
Besides, smart parents/kids shuffle their feet on hardwood/tile floors in the dark. Tougher to do on carpet with a decent pile and not slide your foot right over one. |
