They were the first real bridge between the Rockabilly/kustom kulture and Punk Rock. It's not the largest or most popular genre/subculture going, but it's a thing and The Cramps made it what it is today. Not everyone's cup of tea, but they'll always command more of my respect than 99% of the throwaway crap on commercial radio nowdays. |
