Thursday, February 07, 2013 7:28:37 AM Don't draw attention to it? Don't be so sneakily awesome about stealing petty cash! |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 3:48:54 PM @Robthelurker, there's little to no handholds on top of the Dutch "Koploper" class of intercity trains. Apart from that there is a 1500 volt line about 30 centimeters off the roof, which the train is running under at around 120 kph. Getting on top of the train unnoticed is nigh impossible to begin with. |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 12:14:41 PM why not just climb on top of the train? sure itd be easier to get caught trying to get on and off, but itd also be a lot more adventurous, albeit dangerous. but what great adventure doesnt include danger? a lame adventure, thats what. sure this guy skipped out on paying for his ticket, but instead of using an awesome adventure way he went a safe stealthy lame way with fake luggage. i would have been more impressed if the dude rode on top of the train. instead of the mission impossible theme it couldve been the indiana jones theme. |

I shall have to try this one day. California is currently wasting billions of dollars to build a high speed rail from LA to Sacrament. No one goes there. No one wants to ride it and ticket prices are higher than flying, but by God we are gonna have a high speed rail just like "sophisticated" places have. I digress.... I'll try that. |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 11:41:54 AM Wow, those overhead shelves are pretty sturdy. The ones on the Metro North or LIRR trains would snap like a twig. |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 11:17:16 AM No good on British trains- they usually have cameras, and guards with the most AMAZING memories regarding faces. I have never been asked for my ticket twice by a guard, but I have never seen them miss someone either.... |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 11:09:02 AM Kinda presumptuous on his part to think no one who paid honest money would give him away. It wouldn't work here! (We have good freight trains to ride, tho. You find a train of grain hoppers heading out of town and climb into the little empty "room" at the end of one.) |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 11:03:13 AM Really? You're going to carry around fake luggage? I think Euro train prices are pretty cheap, that's why I love to take the train there. |

See, this is how it's done. This is how white people steal stuff. No knives, pistol whipping, no shooting store clerks. White people are so polite. |

Sunday, February 03, 2013 9:30:20 AM I can't really blame him. Tickets and reservation fees on European trains can be pretty stiff. |
