If you don't want guns, then don't have them. Just leave mine alone. You will never, and I mean NEVER,get rid of all the guns. After you try, there will still be plenty of them left, and the vast majority of them will be in the possession of crooks, murders, rapists, serial killers, etc. Sounds like a good idea, no?
Bottom line, when you idiots that want to do away with guns decide that you want mine, come try for them. Just keep in mind that you better bring plenty of backup, and they won't all be leaving alive. Want my address (if you have the balls)? I'm not generally a violent person, but I can be when defending my rights, and the safety and well-being of myself and my family. I have no intention of being a victim. It can certainly still happen, but it won't be because I stood idly by, like some want me to do, and did nothing.

As for their entry, they had been supporting the us with aid since 1776, as well as a large number of volounteer fighters.
In all they spent 1.3 billion livres to help you out.

Bottom line, we have been loosing freedoms like their going out of style and the only people doing the shooting are the ones you're glad you've never met. The government doesn't fear us because whenever a gun nut lifts his arms to defend his freedom, we get a new story of a crackpot with names "Ruby Ridge", and "The Oklahoma City Bombing". |

I love how all the Europeans condemn the 2nd amendment. I think its funny how 2 generations from Europe's largest war they have forgotten that before the US stabilized Europe they were under the rule of one dictator or king or another. While they have had only maybe 150 years or democracy, we state side have had over 200. I think that maybe it might be because the American populous is a armed populous that has the tools to make the Government at least appear that it is truly democratic. |

The Constitution was written after Shay's rebellion ( a private militia) almost toppled the US government. I doubt that the founding fathers would have included legislation to legalize those actions.
