Rope. Uses: Towing cars; etc.
Knife. Uses: Preparing food; etc.
Gun. Uses: Killing people; giving willfully ignorant morons a reason to come up with irrational arguments to keep their loud, lethal man-toys.

@shaustin and macguffin. to me, and many people who live in rural areas, a gun is a tool. it protects me and mine from snakes, varmints, and assorted crazies who would do bad things to us.
a hammer also is a tool and another implement which can be used to kill. however hammering a rattlesnake to death before it bites your toddler is a little difficult and quite problematic.
i don't debate gun control because i believe that people kill people. nearly anything can be used to kill another human if you are so determined. taking away my guns would not and could not prevent me from killing another human if that was my unstoppable intention.
its obvious by your comments that you have no real experience, either with tools or with guns, and so i find you rather unqualified to make blanket assumptions. |

Classic changing of the subject. It's not that guns kill. It's that guns make killing, and specifically killing more than one person, a lot easier than clubs, garrotes or knives. But, hey, whatever works to distract from 20 dead elementary school children, by all means, let's. |
