Seriously though, isn't the second inauguration just a waste of time and money? He's sworn in the first time without expiration, theoretically for life. It's like when Johnston got sworn in on Air Force One after Kennedy died. Totally useless, he was already sworn in.
I just want to know why they call it swearing in. Is it because afterwards they get to go back on all their solemn electoral promises and continue f*cking the country/world up for everyone like their bosses in big business tell them to? |

@Gerry1of1 - They do the same thing in the military when you reenlist. When initially swearing in it's for whatever length of time is on your contract. So technically, when reenlisting you're discharged and then raise your right hand and take the Oath of Enlistment again at a reenlistment ceremony that's conducted by a commissioned officer. |
