This IS from the movie, A Prairie Home Companion (2006). It was an entertaining movie, good but not great, with fun performances from some Hollywood greats (Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Lily Tomlin, Robin Williams, Virginia Madsen) and near-greats, (*cough*Lindsay Lohan*cough,cough*). |

My mom loves this show, She listens to it every weekend. I don't really care for it, but I does have it moments. |

"A Prairie Home Companion" is a radio show usually by NPR radio stations. It is witty at best, IMHO, but more often tepid and banal. I consider it entertaining 30% of the time. When Garrison Keillor isn't singing some quaint quasi-gospel number, or airing out, once again, his sound effects guy's attempt at being Michael Winslow, there's some half-way decent comedy pieces from some semi-talented writers that seems to hit a chord with the NPR crowd enough to keep this show around. This is just my opinion. |

This is a show called "A Prairie Home Companion" hosted by Garrison Keillor. It is found on many local PBS stations that carry NPR. |
