Monday, January 14, 2013 8:30:56 PM Gauddith: Your friends perhaps live in Bellingham, which makes a good deal of money off cross-border shoppers from BC. There's even a mall that is shamelessly dedicated to them, and where the parking lots is always dominated buy BC plates. (I was only there once and got very nice service in the stores, for what it's worth.) It wouldn't surprise me if some shoppers, having driven an hour and waited two hours in a lineup to get grilled by a surly border guard, didn't start to act a bit entitled in "their" mall. The merchants cry all the way to the bank, I'm sure. |

Monday, January 14, 2013 6:58:53 PM My friends who live in right next to the border would disagree with this comic. According to them Canadians are rude as hell, and come into our stores and generally make asses out of themselves consistently. I wouldn't know, but I can say that the three I've encountered were unusually needy and judgmental. |

Monday, January 14, 2013 5:04:17 PM I looked around but I don't see your credit to the original artist of this comic, Kate Beaton. Here is a link to the original work: www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=250 |

Monday, January 14, 2013 4:50:52 PM "@Zira: No worries, I just can't watch your news channels regardless of affiliation because I feel like I should be afraid of everything, and I sincerely doubt that America is just a bunch of murders, car chases and partisan politics. It's just a shame more normal stuff doesn't get on the news, imo." Holy crap you would be disappointed! There is a murder in my town every week, and a dead body on every corner. Politics is beyond partisan--it's run by one thing: greed. And car chases rarely happen here because they are too dangerous to bystanders--most cars if they can top over 130 just simply get away or they get the helicopter on them. It's actually quite ridiculously bad in America, at least some parts. |

Monday, January 14, 2013 12:23:40 PM @Gerry: Nah, a lot of our programming is US feeds with Canadian commercials. But our regulatory body stipulates that a certain amount has to be Canadian content, although there are ways around that. We have the 24/7 news channels too, but also have CBC and CTV ones as well. We also get HBO (well, HBO Canada which is basically the same thing). @Zira: No worries, I just can't watch your news channels regardless of affiliation because I feel like I should be afraid of everything, and I sincerely doubt that America is just a bunch of murders, car chases and partisan politics. It's just a shame more normal stuff doesn't get on the news, imo. |

Monday, January 14, 2013 12:12:31 PM Patchgrabber, about Fox...I'm sincerely sorry about that. No one should have to endure that ordeal. But sadly, Murdoch is king apparently. |

Is that a really old strip or do Canadians think Obama is white? Do they get up-to-date news up there without Fox? |
