Thursday, January 10, 2013 3:39:49 AM Yeah, F--k him, I like alcohol, but if he's going to annoy the crap out of sober, well- behaved passengers who can't get off the plane to avoid him, then so be it. I think this method should also apply to crying babies and boring, over-sharing strangers. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 3:58:48 PM I wanna se video of him acting up. I mean, however he was behaving it musta been pretty extreme for the crew to resort to this to control him. I almost feel sorry for him... but not quite! |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 10:54:40 AM He sounded like a wookie at the beginning of the video, hahaha! @drawman61 - In a case like this I'm sure it's legal. If there's a possibility he can injure someone you can restrain him until the police show up. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 10:50:04 AM I would so get in his face and mock him the whole flight. But on a serious note, is that even legal? --------- 1. You would be restrained as well. 2. yes, it is legal under several International conventions. The pilot can use whatever methods he/she deems appropriate to restrain an out of control passenger. The downside is, under the montreal convention, nobody may cause injury to the passenger unless he is endangering the lives of others. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 10:42:47 AM They didn't tape his mouth but I would have to shut him up. If there was an emergency they could get him free fast enough. There aren't a lot of emergencies on a plane that you survive, getting off quickly probably wouldn't matter much. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 10:35:49 AM Any of you questioning the necessity of this need to take a step back. All you have to do to avoid this consequence is not be an A hole. He did this to himself with just a little help from people who weren't going to put up with his crap for all of a 2000 mile flight. |

I'd be sorely tempted to throw peanuts at him and listen to him whimper. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 10:20:05 AM On board were probably some hundred grownup non drunk persons. When they decided to take a measure as drastic as this, it was probably necessary. I can image half a dozen young drunk guys taping the most drunk of them just for fun, but i can not imagine an airplane crew and the passengers asking themselves "Who of us is drunk, so how about doing a duct tape prank on him." If i were that guy, i would not dare to sue anybody. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 10:04:50 AM After a few decades of seeing numerous photos of drunk teenagers duct-taped to just about everything known to man this isn't really that shocking. You've seen worse on the interwebs, admit it. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 9:46:55 AM Just noticed Jowsh's comment. Exactly my point, what if there was an emergency, he could die due to their actions. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 9:46:38 AM @ McThstlpnts - I guess he was spitting on people. I thought the same thing though - what if he had to vomit, he could have choked to death. Watching this, I almost feel sorry for the guy. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 9:46:01 AM I wonder if he could take them to court for holding him against his will or something similar. I bet he would stand a chance. |
