Wednesday, January 09, 2013 8:17:28 PM the news is failing to accurately represent ANYTHING, how do you expect women to be an exception. news dont have a problem with women. news have a problem, and society (or whatever you want to blame as the other party) has one with women.

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 8:30:55 AM @sarita1225 I don't think Viagra should be covered either. If it's a medical issue that's fine but to think people wouldn't abuse such a thing is naive. While we're handing out insults though you look like a bar slut perhaps if you cut back on the dick you'd bleed less. I bet your mouth smells like dead hooker pussy but has some how seen more penis. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 8:25:16 AM HELVETICA!!!! I HAVE IMPORTANT THINGS TO SAY!!! Anyway. Society has its expectations for everyone. Males and females are both expected to fit a certain mold and act a certain way...this isn't a one-sided issue. It's just hard to get around, because human brains are wired to use stereotypes and assumptions as a part of addressing unfamiliar situations. That being said, Danica Patrick can shove right off. You're going to willingly put your image out in advertisements, scantily clad, for the money and fame involved, and then take offense when someone calls you sexy? Sure, we live in an environment that pushes women to be presented this way (i.e. Sex SELLS and Cash is King), but if you're going to take a stand against it you should start with your own professional appearance. This is NOT helping the situation:

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 7:29:41 AM @McGovern: You do realize that she was actually speaking about a friend who has an ovarian issue that can be corrected by contraceptives, right? Look up ovarian cysts and PCOS. You're an undereducated fool. Contraceptives or birth control isn't about be promiscuous or asking for handouts. I received contraceotives while i was in the military, aka taxpayer funded, because i suffered ovarian issues. without them i could have had a cyst rupture and cause me to hemmorhage. but i except you to now try toput me down for this revelation since you are the epitome of ignorance. If Viagra is covered, why not a medicine that regulates women's hormones? Oh, since it also prevents ovulation therefore pregnancy, it must be bad because only men can bang freely. Yeah, seems legit. |

Wednesday, January 09, 2013 4:48:10 AM Many of those clips included women acting the way they are complaining about being treated. How bout it, chivalry or equality? I'm guessing most women would rather have equality. I'd say most girls would rather have chivalry. |

Tuesday, January 08, 2013 9:35:42 PM It's a turbulent time for women. But it should be, change is always turbulent. The media and entertainment industry in this country is stuck back 50 years ago because many people in this country are stuck 50 years ago. Until we get over certain things and take a good, honest look at our culture, women will be judged by a different standard than men. |

Tuesday, January 08, 2013 5:06:51 PM And thank you @randomxnp for showing what partisan opinion media does to a persons rational thinking. It's been a while since I've seen so much misinformation spewed in such a short amount of space. |

There were portrayed the way they are. Some are intelligent plitical figures, others are superficial barbie-doll wannabies. And they're everything in between. Trolling Video is Trolling. I lol'd at "They are being raped .... too much" |

Tuesday, January 08, 2013 4:39:42 PM Shadowvamp Contraceptive pills for a medical complaints is not the debate. Fluke went to an expensive Catholic university, knowing it was Catholic, then demanded it pay for contraceptives, claiming she could not afford them. Given that she could buy a condom a day for about $30 a month, this led to the very valid point that she must be a slut not to be able to afford contraception, given that she must be needing far more than one a day and needing multiple partners (contraceptive pills are far cheaper, so the condoms might be assumed to be for protection) |

Tuesday, January 08, 2013 4:34:49 PM Fluke was the one making women out to be idiots, not Limbaugh! No-one can seriously defend what she says: it's just political posturing. If you can't afford a $1 condom then why are you paying thousands for an education at a Catholic university? |

Tuesday, January 08, 2013 4:27:32 PM I really want to slap all the idiots who say free birth control is like prostitution. I've been on birth control since I turned 18 even though I don't have a boyfriend. I have PMDD and without birth control, I am a useless, shaking wreck for usually 10 days. I have a high pain threshold from years of taekwondo, but even I can't handle the simultaneous cramps, back pain, and migranes without crying. Then there's the fact that I easily lost 3 ounces of blood per day, five days in a row before it would lighten (for comparison, an average flow is 1.4 ounces over a week). That meant I was shaky and weak from blood loss. When I turned 18, I finally went to a doctor who put me on birth control immediately. After about 4 month, my period lightened to the point where I don't have any symptoms at all. I'm far more productive now than I ever could have been before. |
