I love it when you dipsh*ts try and defend the first amendment for assault rifles. The constitution was written during the days of muzzleloaders.

ROFL!!! well it's the second amendment first off. Now following your logic would that mean freedom of the press only applies to quill pens and parchment??

If you could kill a theater full of people with them I'm sure you'd defend them as well. Aside from highlighting my obvious error, would you like to enlighten me regarding my point, f*ckface?

The funniest bit was definitely when he released that the British flag is also red, white and blue.

Morgan was stating facts to make his point. This is kind of essential in a debate. Cutting someone off mid-sentence every time in a debate doesn't mean you're passionate, it means you're just an a**hole. And if you willingly won't listen to what they have to say, you're also an idiot.

"Being passionate often gets confused with being crazy while being calm(and/or British) often gets confused with being intelligent.

Morgan was picking at minutia and it was evident it was ticking Jones off. I get it, guns are only ONE way to kill people, and if you add them together the UK is a pretty dangerous place compared to the states. More gun crime in US, but more everything else a few thousand miles east where there are no guns."

The main question here should be, "how much firepower are we willing to let one crazy person get his hands on and carry around with them," and whittle it down from there. As proven recently, assault rifles tend to cross that line. If grenades and RPGs were legal, crazies would find a way to get their hands on those too. But they're not, so they don't.

There are alot of people who are saying that Alex Jones is what is called "controlled competition". In other words, he is actually being run by the gun control lobby and purposely trying to discredit pro-gun advocates by going completely over the top. Not saying it's true, but it certainly would make more sense than believing he actually thinks he is scoring any points acting like this.

@Gerry: @Klaxor made a good point, but if everyone in the US required military service to own a gun, I'd feel much safer going there.

@HA: You are most correct sir. Piers is a pretty big douche a lot of the time, like O-Reilly and the others that cut mics and talk over their guests when they don't like the way it's going. This was exactly what you said, a "see how crazy they are?" moment, but Alex Jones does happen to be crazy. Then they just imply that all pro-gun people are that way and all he has to do is play the calm, respectful host while Jones goes full retard.

I'm not sure what people need automatic assault rifles for anyway.

Someone that dosen't know the laws shouldn't be trying to make new ones. You've shown you don't know them right there.

I don't care what side you are on or what you stand for...when you act like that you loose all credibility.

That was so frustrating to get through...guns are not going anywhere any time soon. Such a large portion of the American people are crazy and, sadly, would start a civil war over any form of gun ban at this point. Which makes it incredibly unlikely that a gun ban will occur. Get over it...move on.

This is an stupid debate all around. It was clear the guy was mental before any questions were even asked. And yes, mental, not just passionate. You'd know the difference by actually listening to the crazy sh*t he was saying. I'm not sure what people need automatic assault rifles for anyway. If you're actually hunting with them, it does just how much of a sh*tty hunter you are though. If you're hoarding them for the great government war... You might want to start getting you're tinfoil hat ready as well.

When I realized this wasn't an Onion parody it got even funnier. I couldn't make it through but what I saw was hilarious. It was like an angry talking points rap. Someone needs to put that to music.

@klaxor

The problem is that those "Crazy Republicans" were elected officials who were elected by people who are just as crazy as they are.

Yet, many of you use this as evidence that all Republicans are just as crazy. For each "crazy" Republican you can show me, I can show you a "crazy" Democrat; Feinstein is a good place to start.

Also, it wasn't just the "liberal media" that denied Ron Paul airtime.

I never said it was...?

@An-egg

you say he wouldn't let Larry Pratt talk, perhaps that is why Mr Jones took the approach that he did.

Perhaps; in my opinion though, Piers Morgan can be just as loud and obnoxious as Alex Jones was. With this in mind, I find my reasoning to be more likely.

"Switzerland - 45.7 out of 100 own a gun.
Switzerland - one of the safest countries to live in."

The U.S. has more guns (9 guns out of every 10 Americans) and roughly the same percentage of owners (39-50%, depending on the estimate).
