Tuesday, January 08, 2013 9:25:56 AM #8 not totally true - an easy google search comes up with the 1986 $2 bill with a canadian flag flying over parliament. #10 Sporange rhymes with Orange. Sporange is a botanical term for a part of a fern. Chilver rhymes with Silver, chilver defined as an ewe-lamb. #21 Not true. You can train your goldfish to do tricks which means they have a memory longer than 3 seconds. This is a terribad list. |

Monday, January 07, 2013 8:04:43 PM Oh yeah! The "three dollar bill" LOLZ! I'd forgotten about that! Sorry, we Canadians are crazy enough to have 3 dollar coins... I honestly had no idea they existed before today! (hope that's a consolation) |

Monday, January 07, 2013 8:02:33 PM @Gerry1: Um, the "War of 1812"? Y'all invaded us, and stuff... The Northwest Angle is like, in my homeland... Oh well! We whooped y'all butts! Ha! @r66tramp: Huh? What? Where did I do that? (gotta go re-read this thread to find it? UGH!) |

"Gerry, where R U getting that data?" The US / Canadian war I made up. Who believed it? Show of hands. The Kangaroo having 3 vagina's is something I picked up watching Qi. Uncopyrightable just common knowledge, like abstemious or facetious. At least 23% of IABers will fall for anything so I figured I was close with that one. |

Monday, January 07, 2013 7:39:57 PM Sorry, but #42 is not quite TRUE. There is ANOTHER 10 letter word you can type using ONLY one row of a keyboard: PERPETUITY Try it |

Monday, January 07, 2013 6:16:45 PM Also #24. The Speaker of the House is a position in every Parliament using the Westminster style of government. In fact, not only does the Speaker of the House speak, nobody in the legislature gets to speak without the Speaker's permission. He can kick you out of the house for speaking out of turn AND formally recognizes every Member of Parliament before they speak. You would know that if you watched Question Period. |

Monday, January 07, 2013 6:12:48 PM Wow Americans who actually believed that. Very depressing that you are that foolish. The flag is the Red Ensign which was Canada's flag under British rule.
I could see how a nation of people who put Canadian flags on their things when travelling might make that mistake though. |

Monday, January 07, 2013 2:44:16 PM DrProfessor has nailed it! Read the language, it says it all. Not like this entire post wasn't made to stir the pot. Well done, is what I say! I come here bored, go away with frustration, smiles and curse words. I love IMB when they stir it up! Great post! |

Monday, January 07, 2013 11:11:07 AM Take these with a grain of salt. Most of them are true, some are not. Goldfish can be trained via Pavlovian conditioning. Saying they have three second memories is hogwash. |

Monday, January 07, 2013 9:58:21 AM As a serious bank note and coin collecter I can firmly say 8 is false. The note in question is the 1986 release of the Queen Elizabeth II / Parliament Buildings $2 note. Which unlike its $5 and $10 counterparts clearly has a Canadian flag flying above the Parliament. So, up yours eh! |

Monday, January 07, 2013 9:36:28 AM Re: #8, US flag on Canadian bill It's the old red ensign, which had a union jack in the corner. Because it was engraved, the cross-hatching has sometimes -absurdly- been mistaken for stars. |
