250 CV's sent off and no job? Says a lot about the guy huh? He could start by accepting a job THEN looking for other work. Also, he needs to lose the "comedy" shirts, the geeky glasses and MTFU. |

I used to interview maybe 1-15 a month for various IT positions in my department... you'd be surprised at how many didn't want the job enough to say work the odd extra hour if the business needed it (at overtime rates or do the odd weekend work if there was a new rollout etc.
And that was for junior it supervisor positions mainly....that's not even kids who are unemployed that have no intention of ever working or looking for a job. Unlike this guy, who as I said, is clearly interesting in working for a living. |

I don't think he's quite understood the economics involved in recruiting there. Unless he's looking for a job working for his mother, knowing that he was dumb enough to spend £500 on something so useless makes him less employable, not more. |

It would be nice to know what skills someone has before just giving them a job. As CodeJockey said, I think spending the last of your money on a billboard shows me he may not be a very responsible person and/or a poor decision maker. |

I think it would make me ask for his cv or give him an interview...whether he got a job would depend on how he came across in that and what his skills were in the first place. But surely he gets a tick in the right box for his apparent willingness to work in the first place. |
