@SarahofBorg, maybe just not built straight, the sections are quite short, it's not carrying lots of weight so less of an issue than if it were steel - the 'connectors' (rope) aren't as rigid as with steel either so can take more twisting without failing.

Doesn't it have a higher tensile strength than steel? I heard it's quite durable.


Not only that, but it is much lighter than steel, so it will not collapse under it's own weight like a steel scaffolding would if there were a problem.

Saw it being used all over Hong Kong then read in a museum/tour or something that it's just as good as metal at keeping the buildings up. Allows a bit of flexibility and a hellallotter cheaper then steel.
