Tuesday, January 01, 2013 2:55:00 PM This doesn't surprise me, went to Nepal and the people there never even heard of WWI OR WWII. @drawman61 and @TheGuySmiley: you guys are right, the aliens at area 51 made us do it for faking the moon landing. |

Monday, December 31, 2012 1:34:18 AM @TheGuySmiley Thing is I'll believe several engineers, architectonics, demolition experts and scientists. Popular Mechanics did an awesome job explaining why everything happened. Who explain that as one floor dropped onto another it squashes all the air which pops out the window and looks like a "debris exploding out the sides" as explosive charges. Then all the people in people in their basements and armchairs who have seen some grainy footage and suddenly become an expert. You tell us to look at the nutjobs in a basement. We have we then looked up the smarter and more experienced guys explanation. Who has recreated models and done tests, not just zoomed into the screen.... |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 10:39:19 PM If you think that 9/11 was an inside job Please look up all of the debunking of these conspiracy theories. They thoroughly explore and explain every one of these ideas and why it was not and COULD not have been an inside job. If you think I am just one of the sheep that believes what the government feeds me, just please think about the vast amounts of people who would have had to have been directly involved in and complacent in the murder of thousands of innocent fellow countrymen. The only motivation they had was oil? I admit they used it as an excuse to go to war but I cannot believe on any rational level that it was perpetrated by our own. please go back to claiming we didnt land on the moon. that is more believable than this "Truther" hogwash. that should also show the kind of people that believe this stuff. automatically labeling yourself truther as if only you now what truth is. |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 8:33:21 PM Aside from those who live in or near the big cities (Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-e Sharif) all they know is what their elders hear by word of mouth when they get together for meetings. Like CrakrJak said, they live in small villages, no running water, electricity, etc. |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 8:19:50 PM The funny thing about 9/11 was that 3 buildings fell nearly perfectly in their own foot prints, like they were felled by a controlled demolition. The tops of the buildings piled right through the below 70 or so floors at nearly the rate of free fall speed, as if all of the supports had suddenly been cut and the buildings fell. Not only that but debris was exploding outward from all sides as if something was exploding inside. Months later (even in the cold winter) they found molten steel at the bottom of the pit, and they still found tiny body fragments on tops of other buildings that indicated they had exploded. Strange that would happen when the building was just going down. Worst of all was WTC7 which no planes hit yet it too fell straight down at free fall speed like it's supports were cut. www.ae911truth.org looks at these in depth. 9/ |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 7:03:44 PM Perfawn, I don't have any idea what Gerry is saying but your very last post made me giggle... What if everyone on here took an oath to not watch cable news, turned off their partisan radio, deleted their links to partisan blogs, and we all just talked and learned from each other? |

piperfawn, "the day when your country establish the dictator Pinochet in Chile allowing the death of more than 40.000 people and erasing the democracy in a foreign country in 1973" Well you can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs. |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 4:11:54 PM i am still rather unsure what 9/11 has to do with the taliban. It is like blaming you for something you know your enemy has done.

Sunday, December 30, 2012 2:40:44 PM The Taliban and the Afghan government treat their people like mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed sh|t. I'm not surprised at the ignorance there. There's no infrastructure, radio and tv are rare because they don't even have electricity. |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 12:10:51 PM Sidebar comment: I had the headphones on when they detonated that first IED, and the hammer blow of that sound went to my core. You don't hear that in movies; it's frightening and eye-opening. |

Sunday, December 30, 2012 10:41:09 AM The soldiers at the beginning were anywhere from 5-8 years old when the attack occurred. They have no recollection of it, nor any basis to even know what it was at the time. All their "opinions" have been formed from others telling them what they should feel. Basically, the battles they fight now come from an attack they know nothing about. It's not their fault. Try asking someone who was born in '58 about how they felt about the JFK assassination, they would just stare blankly too. |
