Pretty much Thonious. I remember starting Karate when I was 13, went to my first "tournament" and came back asking wtf just happened. Spent half the time there dancing to choreographed moves. Even back then commercial "martial arts" seemed like nothing more than prepping for Hollywood stunt doubles/action extras.
Switched to Eskrima. You can almost always find a couple of sticks nearby. |
