Well, yes before hair spray was invented.
Back in my day we had lovely carcinogenics propelled from cans full of fluorocarbons that not only would make your hair stay still for 3 days, it also burned holes in the ozone layer so you could tan quicker.

@OwlPost, there was gel and hairspray back in the day but as Gerry says - upside down. Why use egg whites (or sugar - another idea) when there are products designed for the purpose. |
