Saturday, March 26, 2005 3:43:48 PM "Flags everywhere, pictures of the nation's leader and his family, women dancing, men in army suits." Hmmm... where have I seen *THAT* combination, besides North Korea and Nazi Germany? Oh, wait -- RIGHT FREAKING HERE. |

Monday, February 07, 2005 4:06:31 AM All of you folks that are bashing Bush and each other, get your census facts straight! There are 295,414,526 in the US. Also, you'd better know the history of Hitler before you start putting another in his shoes! Those are big ones to fill! Morons. |

Sunday, February 06, 2005 1:04:14 PM Hatemelater, you actually can go to North Korea. for 110 euros a day, you'll see celebration/event or some other things of the country, with tour organized by the government. you still have to pay for the flight to Beijing and Pyongyang though. I hope you're not being sarcastic. If you end up going let all of us know. (free IPOD) |

Sunday, February 06, 2005 12:23:28 AM 'If any of them make a noticable mistake , the person in question will often end up getting whippings in town as a result.' That one kid in the video who opened the colour book wrong probably got whipped . Impressive video we have to admit, but... |

Saturday, February 05, 2005 9:07:42 PM Well, even though it's a propaganda, it's still cool to look at. You have to admire the graceful organization skills involved. This is something that only a communist country can pull off. Try to do it in the States, it'd be total flop. I wonder how the band got the video in the first place. I know you can buy a similar version of this on the official N. Korea website, but do they need permmission to resuse that? for those of you who's interested in giving N. Korea ruling class some dough, it's 30 euros. (free IPOD) |

Saturday, February 05, 2005 7:49:30 PM of course. i was wondering how long it would take until the whole "bush is hitler!!!!" lunacy was brought up. thanks, dragonlord.but seriously....this is nothing but blatant propaganda, no matter how cool it looks. take a look at "triumph of the will" and you'll see pretty much the same thing. "more oneness, less categories" - that's communism right there. |

Saturday, February 05, 2005 7:19:28 PM "No, not go North Korea for Chrissake! The only difference between Kim Jong-il and Hitler is organizational skill. Take this down."Yup. That's dead on. And the only difference between Hitler and Bush is the moustache, so perhaps you should look at our own problems before you start criticizing others. |

Saturday, February 05, 2005 6:51:17 PM What skywise said is very true. To add to this : Kim Jong Ill is insistant on these displays of girls and he is also insistant on perfection. If any of them make a noticable mistake , the person in question will often end up getting whippings in town as a result. This display is one of the bigger ones. On other occasions , Kim Jong Ill will have several private dancers aged between 12 - 16 who will put on a performance for him, after which , Kim Jong will choose several of them to come and sleep with him. If anything , I would say "boo North Korea!". Just look at the video , it displays the same sort of behaviour as Hitler and other Facist countries : Flags everywhere , Pictures of the King's family , Women dancing , Men in army suits. |

Saturday, February 05, 2005 5:20:02 PM No, not go North Korea for Chrissake! The only difference between Kim Jong-il and Hitler is organizational skill. Take this down. From Human Rights Watch: "Pyongyang flatly denies all allegations of human-rights abuses, though arbitrary executions, torture, forced labor and strict limits on freedom of speech and association have been amply documented. North Korea is a country where collective punishment against entire families is used to respond to political dissent, whether actual or perceived. The family of the "perpetrator" is sent to forced-labor camps -- sometimes for the rest of their lives. Leaving the country without official permission is considered an act of treason, punishable by the death penalty, which is why China must end its practice of returning North Koreans. In North Korea, imprisoned women are often forced to abort fetuses and prisoners are routinely executed in public, often in the presence of children. Pluralism and civil society ar |
