Hatemelater, you actually can go to North Korea. for 110 euros a day, you'll see celebration/event or some other things of the country, with tour organized by the government. you still have to pay for the flight to Beijing and Pyongyang though. Well, even though it's a propaganda, it's still cool to look at. You have to admire the graceful organization skills involved. This is something that only a communist country can pull off. Try to do it in the States, it'd be total flop. I wonder how the band got the video in the first place. I know you can buy a similar version of this on the official N. Korea website, but do they need permmission to resuse that? for those of you who's interested in giving N. Korea ruling class some dough, it's 30 euros. (free IPOD) |

What skywise said is very true. To add to this : Kim Jong Ill is insistant on these displays of girls and he is also insistant on perfection. If any of them make a noticable mistake , the person in question will often end up getting whippings in town as a result.
This display is one of the bigger ones. On other occasions , Kim Jong Ill will have several private dancers aged between 12 - 16 who will put on a performance for him, after which , Kim Jong will choose several of them to come and sleep with him.
If anything , I would say "boo North Korea!". Just look at the video , it displays the same sort of behaviour as Hitler and other Facist countries : Flags everywhere , Pictures of the King's family , Women dancing , Men in army suits. |
