Monday, December 17, 2012 6:28:31 AM I love the circular reasoning: "I need to carry a weapon to protect myself from bad people carrying weapons". "If one of those guards would have had a gun, the crazy would have never killed so many people". Seriously, the pro-gun-Americans must have a hard time keeping sane whilst trying to convince themselves that carrying a pistol is a good idea and is in fact a God-given right. Because God is packing to. And he don't miss. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 4:53:23 PM "Please don't shoot me daddy" I'll say no more, yet others will dissect my comment. Go ahead. My country won't shoot up a school. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 3:27:31 PM So its a gun magazine, whats the big deal? There's magazines for every topic. Cars, car brands, trucks, fishing, hunting, baking, cameras, computers, macs, knitting, sewing, kite-flying, basket weaving, skiing, art, science, naked women, nearly naked women, naked men, gossip, news, fitness, and that's only what I could think of in the last minute. Magazines exist for every hobby. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 2:07:50 PM talon0325-" Axes and knives also have a purpose, none of these 2 were meant to injure or kill people" Axes amd knives were first invented to kill things, including people. Or do you think a tomahawk was meant to cut down a pine tree? talon0325-"Don't understand why you need to carry a handgun while strolling the streets in any city. Hmmm! Downtown LA " Haven't strolled down the streets of Downtown LA lately, have you? SmagBoy1-"citizen militia, of which you are NOT a part of" Melitia: The entire able-bodied population of a community, town, county, or state, available to be called to arms. Yup, that's me.

Sunday, December 16, 2012 1:39:51 PM nagelbett79, I was speaking to why the amendment was written. There are no laws AGAINST it. I was explaining the amendment, not current law of the land. I'm sorry that you can't understand subtle discussion, but I assure you that I *do* understand the amendment. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 1:38:07 PM insane_ai, no, the second amendment was NOT to overthrow our government. At all. Revisionists history is nice and all, but it's not actual history. As for your chances of being called up in Ohio, and the need for you and your weapon to serve, let me just say that not only would that be not required by actual law enforcement or armed services (included the reserves), it would not be desired. It's dangerous. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 1:28:16 PM God, there are some dumb people here in need of educating. talon0235 - knives and axes weren't meant to kill people? I can think of several civilizations who would beg to differ. The rest of your post is nonsense (Rocks crushing houses? Penises? Porn? 0_o ...). smagboy - You don't understand the 2nd Amendment. It says that people can own gun IN CASE a militia needs to be formed. You don't need to be in a militia to own one. Disagree? Please show me where a firearm has been taken away from a person "because they aren't in a militia". All you need to show me is one instance. Should be easy, right? Fancy - you're an idiot. I won't go into detail here if your parents haven't already, but I'll say this: reading a magazine about a thing doesn't equal a 'porn-level obsession'. Time is not 'current events porn'. Better Homes and Gardens is not 'garden porn', and neither constitutes an obsession. Please move to Canada. It's full of morons, but you'll be i |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 1:02:28 PM @SmagBoy: 1. The Second Ammendment was added to ensure the public would be able to overthrow the government if needed. It has nothing to do with the need to hunt. 2. I don't know what state you are in but here in Ohio, I am part of the State Army by default and can be called at any time to fight for my State. @FancyLad: Studying firearms and reading about laws regarding them is part of responsible ownership. It has nothing to do with porn. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 12:46:45 PM Let's be clear: the 2nd Amendment does NOT give you the right to own a gun just because you want one. Especially not the kind that can shoot down helicopters, airplanes, rampaging elephant herds, tanks, etc. The only thing the amendment allows for is ownership of a gun in an effort to maintain a citizen militia, of which you are NOT a part of. So, shut up about the 2nd Amendment. That's idiot talk. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 12:29:59 PM Hey Fancy!! The purpose of any weapon is to destroy or kill something. Axes and knives also have a purpose, none of these 2 were meant to injure or kill people. 2nd amendment my arse, this is such an archaic law that it should be removed. Civilized people do not need them other than hunting for food. Don't understand why you need to carry a handgun while strolling the streets in any city. Hmmm! Downtown LA , watch out family, it's a bear. Better pull out my semi automatic and kill it. Your timing and lack of consideration should put you in the path of the next big rock falling down the cliff on your drive home, maybe it will be a phallic symbol, then you will see the porn in that as well. You will be screwed real hard. |

Sunday, December 16, 2012 11:58:54 AM I'd hazard a guess that the idea of the freedom to own something that has made so much happen in the world is why people like them so much. I don't own one myself, but I do support the 2nd ammendment and believe that even with all the negative press lately that if they were policed correctly and stores actually adhered to the current laws things would be very different, but they obviously don't and so they're not. |
