I love the circular reasoning: "I need to carry a weapon to protect myself from bad people carrying weapons". "If one of those guards would have had a gun, the crazy would have never killed so many people". Seriously, the pro-gun-Americans must have a hard time keeping sane whilst trying to convince themselves that carrying a pistol is a good idea and is in fact a God-given right. So its a gun magazine, whats the big deal? There's magazines for every topic. Cars, car brands, trucks, fishing, hunting, baking, cameras, computers, macs, knitting, sewing, kite-flying, basket weaving, skiing, art, science, naked women, nearly naked women, naked men, gossip, news, fitness, and that's only what I could think of in the last minute. Magazines exist for every hobby. |

insane_ai, no, the second amendment was NOT to overthrow our government. At all. Revisionists history is nice and all, but it's not actual history. As for your chances of being called up in Ohio, and the need for you and your weapon to serve, let me just say that not only would that be not required by actual law enforcement or armed services (included the reserves), it would not be desired. It's dangerous. |

1. The Second Ammendment was added to ensure the public would be able to overthrow the government if needed. It has nothing to do with the need to hunt.
2. I don't know what state you are in but here in Ohio, I am part of the State Army by default and can be called at any time to fight for my State.

Let's be clear: the 2nd Amendment does NOT give you the right to own a gun just because you want one. Especially not the kind that can shoot down helicopters, airplanes, rampaging elephant herds, tanks, etc. The only thing the amendment allows for is ownership of a gun in an effort to maintain a citizen militia, of which you are NOT a part of. So, shut up about the 2nd Amendment. That's idiot talk. |

Civilized people do not need them other than hunting for food. Don't understand why you need to carry a handgun while strolling the streets in any city. Hmmm! I'd hazard a guess that the idea of the freedom to own something that has made so much happen in the world is why people like them so much. I don't own one myself, but I do support the 2nd ammendment and believe that even with all the negative press lately that if they were policed correctly and stores actually adhered to the current laws things would be very different, but they obviously don't and so they're not. |
