Wednesday, December 12, 2012 11:43:52 AM @McGovern1981 because they're the only place in the world who goes *this* far for a pre birth party. we'd never heard of baby showers here until about 10 years ago. |

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 9:36:20 AM ...oi. seeing as it says "Welcome" off to the side I'm guessing it's either "welcome to the world" or "welcome to the family" it's just a birth not still birth cake. as rune explained a baby fresh out of the womb isn't going to look like a gerber baby. if you want try and find some google images of babies fresh out of the vaj, you'll find a lot have a blue tint. |

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 9:27:32 AM My daughter was born via c-section (and is a perfectly healthy 8yo now so, no, this isn't a sad story). I sat behind the curtain talking to my wife throughout the process and the Dr says, "well, stand up, dad, and take a look at your baby girl." I stood up and looked over the curtain to see my purplish baby covered in blood and my wife's guts all over the place ... yeah, I don't recommend looking until things are cleaned up and sewed up. Point is, babies don't come out 3 months old, bathed and beige like they do in the movies. :) |

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 5:51:01 AM My wife and I have been through this. Nine months in, you head off to the hospital with teddy bears and balloons, my wife in labour and ready to have our baby. Nursery all set up at home... Trust me. It's not a funny thing. |

Monday, December 10, 2012 9:41:28 PM Lots of babies turn blue for a time after leaving the birth canal. They've been explicitly asked to pull out. That causes the blueness. |
