Sunday, December 09, 2012 9:47:00 PM I wonder if the trompe l'oeil works from the point of view of the tatooee? Regardless, I'd be freaking out every time I caught sight of this thing out of the corner of my eye! |

Sunday, December 09, 2012 8:26:28 AM I usually carp about tats, buy that is amazing art! The tat guy could do nature illustrations for a living. But, as has been noted, the leg shadows don't all match the front right highlight. |

Sunday, December 09, 2012 7:25:33 AM What's with the tattoo fetish? Must be 2-3 tattoo posts a day here lately, eh? It's nifty and everything, but why would one want such a thing permanently attached to their body? |

Sunday, December 09, 2012 4:03:37 AM I reckon that if a tattoo can actually give you the heebie jeebies for fear of the spider walking on the guy's shoulder, it's pretty good! |

Sunday, December 09, 2012 12:09:18 AM Who's the artist? Juli Moon's done some outstanding work in a similar vein, but I've never seen anything this good. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 11:03:16 PM That is unbelievable work! I would slap the crap outa that guys shoulder, thinking I was saving his freaking life. Then I'd punch him for wearing such a realistic tat. |

@ ByOwlPost - because I posted that on the wrong thread. It was supposed to be on the Pig/Knife + Fire = Bacon tattoo thread. I'm decorative, not bright. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 6:47:01 PM That's really impressive, but I wonder if it's as 3D from other angles. As far as I know, the artist would have to use trompe l'oeil to fake 3D, and that only works from one angle. I'm pretty sure that from other angles it would look like a flat, distorted tattoo of a spider. |
