Saturday, December 08, 2012 1:01:14 PM VIVA BJORK!!! Bjork's music is what has kept me alive during the darkest times in my life...I find it funny that this desert dweller finds inspiration from a quirky little icelandic woman....this woman saved my life with her voice and lyrics....with that said screw the person who posted this!! |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 11:39:56 AM drawman61 you're using the word pretentious wrong. pretentious refers to a person that calls people or things pretentious when they don't understand what said person, or thing, is enjoying, or is. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 11:17:41 AM She is to music what the Tate Modern is to art. People claim to like both because they're pretentious and need to be seen as hip. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 11:12:25 AM @2L82Pray: I am offended by your comment. Kim Kardashian is arab trash. Us white trash have plenty of representatives without reaching into the depths of Hollywood hell, thank you very much. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 10:58:32 AM Sure, she may have gotten a bit more eccentric as time progressed. Money allows for that, truthfully. Artistic expression, such as this, used to have a greater impact on culture in the form of bards, troubadours, play actors and the like. European cultures were filled with these kinds of people at one point. I find it fascinating, personally. The folklorist, the bard, etc. are making a comeback with a new understanding of what it means to be part of the Earth. I, for one, prefer this kind of artistic expression opposed to the bland globalized American style. Yes. I said it. America is the devil, etc... whatever. All that to say, "Go Bjork! Go Iceland. Go Skandinavian culture, in general!" |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 10:42:19 AM When I see someone hating on Bjork (who I watched live and loved it), one thing comes to mind: Ignore their patronizing... Tear off their blindfolds... Open their eyes... Declare independence! |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 10:10:58 AM Of course you can compare that to, say New Kids on the Block - far more famous, no talent whatever and no song anything but irritating. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 10:09:32 AM "How the hell did this lady get famous?" By singing rather good songs as front man of the Sugar Cubes. This song has good moments, but it would never have sold without her existing fame. Like the Icelandic imagery on the video though. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 9:58:15 AM Visually amazing! I couldn't stop watching. So if one wants to question how a brilliant Performance ARTIST got famous for taking her art form seriously (like her art or not) I want to know how singers get famous for dancing around half-naked singing songs they didn't even write themselves, and why the Kardashians are famous for being the apex of white trash |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 9:55:24 AM so...I put her in the same category of Die Antwood. I don't know what that category is...or what it means for them to be in it... I will say though that I like Die Antwood MUCH more than Bjork. |

Saturday, December 08, 2012 9:55:14 AM Bjork is like cognac. Late at night, after a few tokes, her music is mind blowing. On a sunny morning with my scrambled eggs... not so much. |
