Saturday, December 08, 2012 3:22:08 AM Atta is a fairly common name in some parts of the wprld and Diarra is an African word meaning 'gift'. Abeer is both arabic and hebrew, meaning fragrance. Peniel is hebrew for face of god and is a place name in Wales. Manases is also hebrew, meaning making forgetfulness, but is generally used in spanish. Strummer's not a bad name, maybe his parents were Clash fans. Juvenal suggest a taste for the classics. Kingdom as a fore-name was good enough for Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who did well for himself. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 10:20:43 PM It would be interesting to see how these names break down into different races and/or incomes. I doubt that very many of them were born rich, but it's almost certain that they will all die in poverty. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 10:18:20 PM On a serious note, while these parents think they're being cute and indulging their own desires for creative self-expression, they're condemning their kids to ridicule and ostracization, and they are completely wrecking any chance they might have for any kind of decent career. At the very least, these kids ought to be able to go to court and legally change their names when they turn 18 and force their idiot parents to pay the cost. |

Friday, December 07, 2012 12:20:48 PM "Prosperity" and "Comfort" sound like really old-fashioned girls' names (Patience, Temperance, etc) gone just a little wrong. |
