beginning was not really dubstep but it was pretty cool when the dubstep actually started half way through |

It was OK once they started the dubstep properly. The beginning was just a bodged version of the carol of the bells, with lighting effects that didn't match. The dubstep fitted the lighting, though.
In America, at least, the religious meaning of the holiday was forgotten a long, long time ago.
It's been a long time since anyone anywhere celebrated the Feast of the Invincible Sun or Saturnalia. |

This "War on Christmas" Faux News keeps talking about is bullsh*t. In America, at least, the religious meaning of the holiday was forgotten a long, long time ago. Now it's just people buying expensive, and mostly useless, sh*t in an attempt to impress people they normally don't give a f*ck about the other 364 days of the year so they can feel good about themselves. |

My nearest neighbors, wonderful people that they are, have an old bathtub set near the road, ostensibly as a planter I'd guess- though it remains empty until it rains- around this time of year they 'fill' it with a fake and rather gaudy christmas tree, and arrange around it a manger scene, from what I can only guess are bits and pieces of their children's cast off dolls and toys made up to resemble biblical characters.
Fortunately, I only have to pass by their way if I'm headed for town- which ain't often. |
