Monday, December 03, 2012 3:35:45 AM #1 Was Hamas part of the "observer state" too? #2 Abbas chose to flog the "1967 Borders" dead horse, AGAIN! The PLO had 90%+ of that and chose to REJECT it. Seriously, the Olso accord was the breaking point, after that "negotiations" have been utterly futile. Israel gave ALL they could, it wasn't enough, attacks and terrorism have NOT stopped, ever. So why should they talk with terrorists? Why obey the UN when their enemy ignores even the most basic human rights? |

Monday, December 03, 2012 3:04:22 AM "It's interesting that most of the countries that voted yes are Authoritarian. Awesome club the UN has become. Churchill was right all the way back in the 50's." It's more interesting to see who voted no: Israel (well duh, obviously) USA (Israel's b-- /'friends'/) Canada (America's 'friends') The Czech Republic (famously xenophobic) And a block vote from the south pacific 'nations'. Even my beloved nation, Britain, whose politicians have since the last war consistently and slavishly followed America into every act of poor diplomacy and ludicrous war, chose to abstain. Even Germany, a country whose special relationship with Israel has historically made them especially reluctant to do anything that would be seen as opposing Israel chose to abstain. In this vote, an abstention is a tacit approval. |

Monday, December 03, 2012 2:09:16 AM @paco664- Are you serious? Do you REALLLY think they just like killing people? If so a I am sorry for you and your negligence. I guess their violence has nothing to do with Israel occupying their territory, expelling them from their villages, blocking their economy and humanitarian packages to Palestine. Nope, it's just that they like killing them. It's so fun. |

Monday, December 03, 2012 12:51:16 AM You can give the Palestinians whatever you want. They will still, and will always want to rid the Earth of the Jews. Supporting them, is supporting genocide. |

Monday, December 03, 2012 12:23:10 AM Snoopy, "Jewish overlords"? It's interesting that most of the countries that voted yes are Authoritarian. Awesome club the UN has become. Churchill was right all the way back in the 50's. Democracies mostly abstained. |

Monday, December 03, 2012 12:11:55 AM This seems a good step in a very long way to a peaceful solution. (Don't ask me how the solution will look like) Luxemburg voted yes. |
