I'm with you LordJim. My husband and I discovered the original right around the time he was diagnosed with cancer and we adopted the slogan to support each other during his fight. We got a couple of t-shirts to wear when he was getting chemo or on particularly bad days. After he passed, I started seeing meme versions of it everywhere - and quite frankly it's a bit upsetting to me. As you said it's an eternal truth, and to us it was also a statement of quiet strength. To see it turned into a cheap joke is offensive to me. |

lostinkorea Have you never try it? I try it few time and the request for that come from the girl,i must say that for me except the good feeling of try something new was not so wonderfull as many people think. Anyway she told me that she like it and that she really can have good satisfaction with that. Dunno maybe not all the women feel the same but you don't really know untill you try it. Anyway i still prefere the main entrance. |

Damn, I hate this meme. The original poster (which was designed to be used in the event of invasion)was never used in the war. In 2000 Barter Books in Alnwick (my favourite book shop) found a copy and started selling reproductions in the shop. Fair enough. They did quite well out of it. I bought a copy and hung it in the house because it was historically interesting and contained an eternal truth. And was good classic design.
Then about 3 years ago it took off and now it is just annoying. |
