Here's what I don't get about this all, why did he bother asking them to turn the music down when all he had to do was drive away and ignore it? They were stopping at a convenience store and the teenagers were playing the music in the parking lot. It's not like they were sitting outside of his house blaring music and causing the guy to lose sleep. This wasn't self-defense at all, unless he was the store owner, he had no reason to go ask them to turn it down. Just a cranky ahole who murdered a kid. |

Actually, in some situations that's the best thing to do. There were multiple of his friends there. The area might not have safe to stay.

Hmm, so after you fire a gun, in "self-defense" you flee the scene and don't call police afterward? Oh, and you're "firing at the vehicle" and not "at anyone." This guy seems to deserve prison, I don't see how you can think of it any other way. |

The story doesn't mention return fire or any guns found on the kids or in the SUV. Chances are slim they missed reporting on those details. |

Because the media and profesional race-baiters continually harped on Zimmerman being 'White' because him being white, while not the truth, was a much more convenient for their ends.

Most localities have noise ordinance laws on the books. Even those communities that don't have specific noise laws, they can still be arrested for disturbing the peace.
I rarely trust the medias reporting of these crimes when they concentrate on these shootings and gloss over the overwhelming amount of gang-on-gang violence.
Instead of just reporting facts the media has a bad reputation of attempting to script a motive, into their reporting, based on hearsay.
8-9 shots fired though, that doesn't seem like self-defense to me. But we'll see what happens in court. |

Sounds like the boy who died wasn't the target of the shooter, I hope there's video to help sort this out.
It has little to NO resemblance to Zimmerman's case, except skin colour. And even then? |

When did being in the back seat mean you couldn't have a weapon to threaten someone with? In a local case: mother of two yelled at a car for speeding down the street, kid IN THE BACK SEAT shot her twice. (you probably didn't hear of it, as the kid was black and victim white).
