Sunday, November 25, 2012 11:00:32 AM I agree with captainkangaroo, jail isn't always the best option. Having not been a part of the case, I'm hopeful the kid is remorseful and can learn from his mistake. I'm also hopeful that the family of the victim finds peace and doesn't live with bitterness. I'm sure the ACLU will have a heyday with this case, but personally I'm fine with drug and alcohol counseling and testing as well as 10 years of fairy tales to teach morality. |

Sunday, November 25, 2012 10:43:19 AM Up to the church requirement, it was looking pretty good. Not everything is solved by throwing someone into prison, where drugs, rape, beatings and murder are a way of life- and that's just the guards- the convicts are worse. |

Sunday, November 25, 2012 10:38:27 AM Lee Dorn Thinks It's Stupid Too! Of all the parts of the "justice system"? Judges are the weakest link... and y'all down in America can elect some of them! Here in Canada it's almost impossible to remove a sitting judge. A lazier bunch of crazy uber-liberals has rarely been seen outside of a University faculty meeting... PS: Don't blame religion for this! It's the judge's fault, lawyers too, probably. |

Sunday, November 25, 2012 10:37:03 AM I'm no expert on US law but I think it's safe to say that sentencing someone to attend church is unconstitutional. |
