I enjoy the NintendoDSi's download progress bar.
Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad carry these little blue balls and throw them into a box, and you can see how far the you are by how filled the box is.
And New Super Mario Bros. transfer between systems to play multiplayer has 8 bit Mario/Luigi (depending on whether you're player 1 or 2) is standing on one side and Peach on the other. Peach will send out either a mushroom or a Goomba and Mario/Luigi will either grow or shrink, but Mario/Luigi will only get up to two mushrooms before a Goomba appears. |

The problem is, progress bars usually have no connection to the amount of data being transferred, rate at which it is being transferred, or the time remaining. They're just something to make you feel better while you wait for an undetermined amount of time. |

i dont trust these guys. the delivery man can never find my house and too many times the package has been broken.... have they had the correct manual handling training for this? and what if they unionize? risky business.... |
